We were with a Tour Group visiting Szentendre for a walking tour, a bit of shopping, and a leisurely lunch on our own. Our Tour Leader mentioned that we should time eating our lunch a bit earlier as the Local people come in for lunch, and the restaurants start filling up quickly; when the locals show up, you know it's going to be GOOD! She recommended a few restaurants in the area for lunch; this restaurant was one of her recommendations and it is located in the Main Square. Honestly, we have never eaten Hungarian food before, so this restaurant was our first real experience. As far as I can tell, there is outside seating to the front and back of the restaurant as well as a small section of tables inside; that is where we asked to be seated as there was a bit of fall chill in the air. Although our Server spoke "very little" English, and we speak ZERO Hungarian, we managed to order a couple of beverages, a salad to start, and main courses. To start was a salad that was not anything I'd ever had before. It consisted of some tomatoes, pickles, and not really sure what else -- to be very Honest with You! LOL! But, it was very nicely presented, and really yummy! My husband chose what I believe was chicken paprikash, I had a beef stew with dumplings. Truly, the food was cooked to perfection and absolutely Delicious! So much so that since we have returned home, I have been making an attempt at cooking some Hungarian dishes! I Highly Recommend this restaurant!

Even if the first impression tells you that you are in another typical pizzeria this place will amaze by the quality the quantity and the price of the food!!! It enters the top5 of my special meals. Try the chicken with bacon & cheese, the chicken with mustard&honey...basically all are genuinely amazing!!!!

Imádom azt a hangulatot, ami körbelengi a helyet. Bár templomban van mégsem érzem magam kellemetlenül. Mindenki barátságos. Egyáltalán nem nézik ki az embert ha nem Krisna tudatú hÃvÅ. Komolyan mondom, lelki feltöltÅdés ott enni!

Weâve heard about this place before, so as we had a trip not so far away, we decided to come by and was definitely a great idea. Both the appetizer and the pizzas we asked for tasted amazing, and we got them pretty quickly. The waitress was nice and helpful regarding what to choose, so itâs highly recommended! :)

The sheer beauty,that is Szentendre,translated from Hungarian to English being St Andrews itself is a sheer tourist joy. This was our second visit to this beautiful magical and fascinating place which holds many treasures from a tourist perspective. The location of La Mia Pizzeria on the main return walk to the railway station we decided to have and we enjoyed a further glass of wine and a cup of earl grey tea. We sat outside and the service friendliness of the waiter staff was delightful. Andrew an I from Australia will return sooner than later.

We have ordered pizza, spaghetti bolognese and grilled chicken with sweet mashed potato. The restaurant is far from the touristic area at the site of the Bükkös stream in a nice enviroment.Everything was ready as they had promised. I had with the staff a short conversation and they were really nice and friendly. The dishes were tasty.

If you think about the word âcosyâ this place is it with capital letters. :) The owner is the most friendly and warmest person Iâve ever met, and the food was really authentic so delicious, I would say perfect. I reccomend it to everybody, even you go with your family or you want to spend a romantic time with your love. Great restaurant. Will be back soon.

Trattoria Cardinale is a great place for a meal - especially in the summer time when you can sit outside. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They even provide blankets outside for chilly nights. They make delicious homemade lemonade. Every table has a live basil plant in the middle. The menus are in English, Hungarian, and Italian. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
