Trout is a delicacy - not many places offer it worldwide. This restaurant is "specialized on it -as there is a fishing place in the forest closed-by. We were there on a beautiful sunny autumn day -which means plenty of visitors. The staff could cope with this demand - there service was quick, with not long waiting. The (mushroom) soup was rather a normal bouillon - with some pieces of mushroom - it was rather on the poor side. But the trout was excellent (I had one with garlic and roasted almond) -and it was really great. Some of us had desert: filled pancake and an other great dish: "turógombóc" (cottage-cheese dumpling) ,which one has to try while in Hungary. All together: good place.

Newly opened patisserie with traditional Hungarian and French style desserts and Italian gelato.
It was a big surprise for us to find this great pastry in the middle of this charming city. You can find here tasty cakes, tarts, and even homemade ice cream. The service is polite and helpful. Everything is very cozy. modern and clean :-) After or before hiking in the mountains it is the perfect spot to rest or collect some extra calories :-)

This place is temporarily closed due to renovation. It will reopen in March 15.
It'd be hard to beat the location of this place - next to a great river, with views over the castle of Visegrad and directly overlooking the ferry service. It's good for people watching or just having a quiet lunch. The food was delicious, the fishermen's soup absolutely superb. Also, love the desserts here - the somloi is enormous, so beware. Service quick, efficient and courteous.

- but the food is not very exciting. We had butter fish and a kind of pork chop with filling and the taste reminded of something you could have bought in a supermarket. Why use frozen veggies when Hungary have such a richness in fresh vegetables? The beer and the espresso was all right, though.

kind stuff, english speaking, various types of meal - not too big, food tasty...we had:beef broth - strong and very goodFilled chicken breast rolled in bacon with prunes and feta cheese (for us little bit too much prunes, which domines over cheese)Grilled pork chops Bakony style (meat little bit dry - maybe it was from leg) but dumplings, sauce with forest mushrooms and meat made really tasty experienceGrilled pork with batatas fries (sweet potatoes) and sauce from forest mushrooms - i didn´t say to get it medium, so it was well donePlace is centrally located on the main road - crossroad to castle, spacious parking place, comfortably seating outside - shadow from tree and with kids corner inside..

Our restaurant was designed with the intention of letting the guests feel as if they were dining in the open air. The light that comes through the glass walls and roof, the unparalleled view of the Danube-bend and the plentiful green foliage create an exc
Excellent steak and tiramisu. View over the valley was superb. Others in my group also enjoyed their meals. Our server Bianka was very attentive and fast to serve drinks. Will visit again in the future. Dear LP9225,Many thanks for sharing your praising feedback regarding your recent meal with us at Hotel Silvanus Panorama Restaurant. It was great to read that you highlighted both the location of our restaurant top of the mountain, and our home made style cuisine. Please allow me to thank you as well for your recognition of our Bianka for her efforts in making you feel pampered and special. Our philosophy is, that guests should be welcomed as if we would invite our friends, relatives or our beloved ones into our home. Dear guests! Our restaurant was established in spring 2007 with the aim of creating a sophisticated restaurant and hostel in Visegrád for domestic and foreign guests. The entire staff of our restaurant strives to provide top performance in the hospitality
We visited this restaurant as part of a cycle tour along the Danube. The location is fantastic, right on the river although we visited when there was a storm threatened so all the plastic sides were deployed. After such great reviews on trip advisor, we were slightly disappointed. The food was OK, and the staff were also OK, but nothing spectacular. I would say that the restaurant was very good value for money, so that is a definite positive. Overall, worth a visit but I suspect Visegrad may have better to offer? Our dear guest! We would like to thank you for the positive words in your opinion. We are sorry to note that you have given us a rating of 3 because of the weather conditions. The restaurant staff should be more attentive to the weather conditions as there may be a major storm within minutes in our area which may cause discomfort. At such times, we invite our guests to our indoor garden where they can comfortably and safely enjoy their drinks and meals. The side closure of the tarpaulin is also important in this case to protect against rain. All of the valuation and the time spent with us were pleasantly experienced, but we do not think it reflects the fair value of the valuation. We look forward to welcoming you next time, hoping for a more pleasant weather.Best regards:András Visnyovszkymanager

Italian style pizza
Was recommended this restaurant by our hotel and so pleased we came. We had a goats cheese salad, Parma ham and mozzarella salad, rosemary chicken with mushroom risotto and spaghetti carbonara. All were delicious and with a beautiful location sitting out overlooking the Danube and bridge. Also very reasonably priced and with a children's play area.

An elegant restaurant was built in the monumental environment in the water town of Esztergom, where Hungarian dishes are made on a plate with a pinch of tricks.
Beautiful restaurant inside & out. Stylish & contemporary decor inside plus stunning views of the river from the outdoor terrace. Our waitstaff Zshopia & Milan were very attentive, friendly and made conversation in English. Very pleased to see menu listings in 3 languages so easy to order. Complimentary bread slices & paprika cottage cheese dip were brought out with our drinks. Our meals were absolutely delicious and plated very decoratively. We chose chicken & duck dishes - see photos - followed by desserts of cheesecake with meringue plus 3 sponge cakes with chocolate, cream & orange sauce. Everything was amazing! Highly recommended. With drinks & small service charge it came to 12310 HUF (A$61) for a 5**** dinner! Thank you very much for your feedback! :)
