Karpenisi is situated in the valley of the river Karpenisiotis (Καρπενησιώτης), a tributary of the Megdovas, in the southern part of the Pindus Mountains. Mount Tymfristos (2,315 m elevation) lies directly to the north of the town, and the foothills of mount Kaliakouda are in the south. Karpenisi has a ski resort and is a popular destination, especially during winter. Staying five days in Karpenisi we had the opportunity to choose from a wide range of restaurants, however, after having eaten one dinner at Villagio we returned every day and enjoyed a variety of Greek food. I personally recommend the oven-baked feta cheese with herbs and tomatoes (it beats a raclette). Following the owners advice and suggestions, we tasted wonderful Greek dishes, freshly prepared for us and tasted good local wine and other beverages. Considering the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, good service, tasty food and personal attention we received we would like to return many times to this exceptional place of real hospitality.Thank you very much for your kind words and your rating.We are especially pleased that you have enjoyed our dishes and beverages.We'll keep on trying for the best !Hope to see you again on your next visit to our citySincerelyFotis D

Great location, delicious food, super kid friendly. This summarises our experience for the second year in Parko Kefalovriso. Covered by plane trees, the place offers a great sense of relaxation, simple yet delicious local dishes, including grilled trout, and the chance for kids to play freely! Will definitely visit again soon!
