Reviews on Healthy food in Zagreb, Central Croatia, Croatia. Zagreb got its start as two medieval fortress towns atop hills overlooking the Sava River, and was reborn in the Baroque period as center of business, perfectly located on routes connecting Central Europe to the Adriatic Sea. These days, Zagreb is the heart of contemporary Croatia’s culture, art, sports, and academics, but its history is not forgotten. The unique blend of medieval towers, 19th century palaces, open-air markets, and ancient cathedrals, make Zagreb the perfect city to explore.

Original Turkish Cuisine Savoury marinades. Exotic spices straight from the bazaars of Istanbul. The freshest ingredients and the choicest cuts of meat. Lokma from Istanbul has brought the rich flavours of traditional Turkish cooking to the very centre of
We stopped at Lokma because of the vegan friendly options. The food was wonderful, and eating on the street made for great people watching. The best part though was the kindness and generosity of the owner, who wanted to comp our entire meal because the ran low on falafels! We insisted to pay, but he refused, so we left a very nice tip hidden away for the staff. There is a saying "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch" TANSTAAFL, but the generosity of our new favorite Turkish restaraunt in Zagreb proved that ain't necessarily the case... oh, and did I say that the food was most excellent and service very friendly? So much kindness!

Bistro and bar in the heart of Zagreb offering lunch, dinner and smoothies. Farm-to-table concept with fresh and seasonal ingredients.
Went to dine here with my wife. We both had spinach soup and sea bass, both were very nice. There's also an impressive selection of wine. A cool, informal place to dine a bit off the regular tourist paths. We'll probably be visiting again.

Poštovani gosti Eggspress je na kolektivnog godišnjem odmoru, vidimo se vrlo brzo! Dear guests Eggspress is on a vacation, see you soon!
A beautifully located resturant inside an art studio, eggspress was worth the short walk from the centre of town. A little on the expensive side, but worth it as very generous portions and great quality food. Would recommend the eggs Benedict. Staff were very friendly and chatty.

This restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere with inside and outside dining options. The menu is extremely varied and has most bases covered. The drinks menu is just as broad. We enjoyed the two soups and the pasta and Seltan Cordon Bleu and the chocolate dessert. The only negative was the coffee which was the best I had tasted in Zagreb was luke warm.

Roots bar has a unique concept - it is a juice bar until 4pm, and then it transforms into a cocktail bar.
I would highly recommend roots and juice if you enjoy cocktails. We tried several, each cocktail was delicious and well priced for the quality of ingredients used. The young waiter who served us was very friendly and had a great knowledge of the cocktails available. It is obvious that whoever is making the cocktails knows what they are doing.Thank you for your visit and amazing review, it's a great honour that you speak so highly of our cocktails and staff - we will try our best to keep the quality high and prices moderate.
