Reviews on Asian food in Belmopan, Cayo, Belize. Smaller and more intimate than popular resort areas such as San Ignacio and Belize City, the modest capital of Belmopan is nonetheless a vibrant city surrounded by stunning scenery and wildlife. Next to the bustling Market Square, Independence Plaza is home to the prime minister's offices, various pedestrian pathways and the National Assembly Building, designed to resemble a Mayan temple. Outside the city lay the spectacular Guancaste Park as well as the astonishing Hummingbird Highway.

When you're tired of Belizian food stop by Belmopan and give The Everest Restaurant a try! Your host Raj is a gracious, lovely skilled cook. He's Nepalese and really knows his art. We had an incredible meal prepared just for us one afternoon a few weeks back Raj was affable and friendly his kitchen is imaculate and his cooking style is absolutely down home Nepal. I spent many years going back-and-forth to Kathmandu and this brought me right back to Thamel. The atmosphere the food and the place are just sweet. rRaj is an amazing cook as well as a great warm character. The quality of the food was excellent. We had, Pakoras, chili paneer, butter chicken, fresh garlic nan chai and Lassies. For desert he made us a real sweet Pan. What a treat. Price was commensurate with the quality, with every BZ$. Truly everything was brilliant just wonderful! Who would think you would find REAL Nepalese cooking right here in good old Belmpan, Belize. Enjoy!
Where to eat Central American food in Belmopan: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Small coffee shop located in the heart of Belize, the capital City Belmopan. Formosa Cafe offers great coffee, fresh fruit smoothies, bubble milk tea, awesome burgers, sandwiches and dumplings.
Quite a nice surprise! The restaurant is very small. There are a couple of small tables outside and the inside eating area is very small as well. Our group of five adults, a toddler, and an infant were lucky that a group was almost finished when we arrived for lunch about 1:00. Two tables were put together, with one side being bench seating. It was ok, but not quite comfortable. The food menu is limited, but the beverage menu impressive. Lots of teas, coffees, and juices are available. Some are exotic. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Proportions were more than generous. The bowl of WonTon soup was the size of a serving bowl full of noodles and chicken. And, the Chow Mein was fabulous according to all! The fried rice was also excellent.Prices were resonable as well.A return trip is in the works!Thank you so much for visit Formosa and thank you for the feedback. Your experience here at the cafe is important to us. We will definitely working towards to provide more space and comfortable seating area. Currently the front porch area is at work. Hopefully next time when you visit it will all be completed.Thank you once again!

Visited today. Ordered and then noticed a handwritten sign noting credit cards not accepted, I was on business and rarely carry cash,, Had to drive to local bank and use atm inciting an 8 dollar fee to get cash. The food was good but the inconvenience of needing cash would put me off to eating here
Veggie Garden Restaurant is vegetarian restaurant. It is also vegan friendly restaurant. All vegetarian food is handmade.
It's a family owned restaurant. Have been there many times. There are a variety of vegetarian dishes. Everyday, there is a lunch box combo with today's special. They also do delivery within Belmopan, and take-outs. As a oriental vegetarian restaurant, the dishes do not have onion, garlic, leek nor chive, which is perfect for oriental vegetarian like me. The dishes are of good portion. They also do catering service. Overall, a great place to get Asian vegetarian meals. At the side of the restaurant, they also sales oriental items.
