Had amazing shellfish macaroni. Excellent wines, friendly service and large portions. Great place for a chilled out and inexpensive dinner. Closed on Mondays out of season so check in advance. We went twice during our stay.

Very busy and popular restaurant serving authentic home cooked food. The antipasti selection is amazing, especially the octopus and potato salad. The seafood pasta dishes were all fantastic, and they offered the choice of smaller fresh prawns, or larger frozen ones. We took the smaller prawns and they were fantastic. Another standout dish is the fillet of beef with rocket and Parmesan. Delicious! It is a family run business and the chef personally comes out to see that all the diners are enjoying their food. We also witnessed some of the family squabbles which only added to the authenticity!
Reasonably priced, €35 per person for 3 courses and drinks.

The antepaste were delicious. The zuppe di pesce was made with very fresh pesce, but had little flavor [unsalted], and the pesce still had scales, which detracted from the pleasure of the fresh fish. Still, I'd return, especially now that we know how to find it.

Da Amedeo is not located in the marina, but is nevertheless more than worth at least one visit if you go to Castro.
The food was excellent, the wine pairings as well and the service efficient, kind and professional. The Terrace was beautiful and cozy.
We highly recommend you to go to Da Amedeo, in our opinion the best restaurant in Castro.

the view is great, the concept good, the food is what you pay for .
Except the "fritto di paranza" fried fish made with the catch of the day, all other options were somehow anonymous and with little taste. There is no service , you need to go at the cash desk , fill your order by ticking your wishes and wait to be called. You are waiter and cutomer at the same time . It is quick and above average priced for what and how you get . It seems a popular destinations as the place was full also in a late september lunch . Wine of irrelevant quality , enjoy the view that is the only thing worth to be remembered

Excellent, HUGE wafer-thin based pizzas overlooking beautiful lido. Good value. For a small extra service charge you can have a table on a private (shared) balcony over the lido which is lit up at night. It’s quite the romantic setting.

We have a Roman friend who grew up in Salento, who highly recommended Grotta. It is not inexpensive €60 pp with wine, but it is a remarkable value. The setting alone creates a lasting memory with Adriatic views that sparkle in the sunlight. The dining room itself is spacious and bright, a plus for us. The service is formal, and omnipresent but not intrusive. The seafood was fresh and superbly prepared. This is how you celebrate friendship.

Very good location, in the yards. Local 'basic' food. Excellent antipasti and choice of handmade pastas. I liked a lot the grilled meat.
Wine (homemade) was decent but cold......
Price was amazing (18 euro each)
We had to wait ages to get food. We arrived there at 7 50 (it was empty) but we could not leave before 22.......

Was expecting a nice authentic seafood restaurant.
Ordered ham and mozzarella to share with my girlfriend as a starter, was a bit disappointed as among all the restaurants we've been to in Italy it was the first time that the mozzarella had no taste at all...
For an Italian restaurant specialised in seafood, let's say it wasn't the place to eat good cheese but anyway.
Then fish and pasta, got my plate 5min before my girlfriend got hers, which was the first time I have seen waiters not serving everyone at the same time..
After taking off the bones and not consumable parts of the fish, I had 3 pieces to eat. Thanks god I had pasta to fill me.
