Enjoyed lunch here after returning from sailing. Two of us had burgers, while I had a shrimp melon salad that was very fresh and tasty. Mojitos are awesome too! Dear voyageurfoodie,Thank you for sharing your experience and your kind words. We hope to serve you again in the near future!
With locals lined up to order you know it will be authentic. Great island food, large potions, very reasonable prices (not the inflated prices on the tourist strip of Rodney Bay). The staff is amazing, the chef takes the time to chat a moment with each table. They offer themed nights with great specials from Wednesday to Sunday, but the food is consistently good. I highly recommended taking the trip for this one.

Eaten here many times, all the staff are really lovely, headed by manager Anna. The food is really good and we have noticed it's gone up another level from our previous visit in November 2018. Excellent service from all the staff who are always very welcoming and genuinely want to give great service. Finally, the location is fab.

Well, where does one start? Sue and Peter (Fluffy) are two exceptional people with such a welcoming family. Their friends were lovely too. We ventured up the hill going into Marigot Bay and found their colorful Rasta inspired restaurant. We made a reservation as it was slow season in St Lucia, and you will find that many restaurants and bars are closed at this time of year. Sue and Fluffy were gracious enough to open for our family of 4 just for the night, and let me tell you, it was an interesting evening b/c of the pouring rain, and power outages, but did they cancel? Nope, they opened for us anyway, rolled out the beautiful tablecloths, and made our lucky family a fantastic candlelit meal. The chicken was the best chicken my son has every had, and let me confirm, it was delicious. Peter was taught to cook by his mother who he lovingly told me about, and has a beautiful picture of her hanging on the wall. Between the food, the hospitality, going above and beyond the call of duty, the loving crafts and drawings their daughter made us, the jokes and conversations we had with Sue, Fluffy, and her friends...it was a truly unforgettable night. One that I am probably inadequately describing, but hope to impart what special people they are. St Lucia is unreal in its beauty, but what makes it unforgettable are the Saint Lucian people. Check out Roots 2 if you want an authentic tasty meal, and great company with very caring people. They even gave my son a pineapple grown fresh in their garden, that we ate the next day for breakfast. Very fresh, and yummy! Can't wait to go back to St Lucia, and see them again. Our family will not forget Sue, Fluffy, and family. Thanks a million.Thank you so much, it was an absolute pleasure to host you and we loved the evening, I think it made it more memorable with the power outages ( we found out afterwards that a truck had hit a pole and made the power go out) and the torrential rain, It was fun. Thank you to you all, keep in touch and hope to see you again very soon.PS. Christina and Starr say hi!

The restaurant was very full and unfortunately the service was very, very slow and so spoilt the experience for us. My pork terrine for a starter was tasteless but then my steak was delicious but quite expensive!White wines need to be stored in the wine fridge for much longer so they come out at the right temperature A disappointment it must be said.

Relaxed International dining with warm Caribbean customer service! Amazing views over Rodney Bay with a lovely cool Breeze all day and night.
I hate reviewing restaurants because I grew up in a top rated restaurant and hotel environment so I tend to be very critical. Having said that, the food at Matthews was good, the restaurant very very clean, staff very well presented and nice (especially Lisa), the menu had a good variety and was very well priced. Highly recommended if your in Rodney Bay and fancy a meal. Hello StLucia-ws, thanks for this great review !Kind RegardsMatthew Chambers

Great menu, went for the super catch of the day. The red snapper, it was huge. Very well cooked with sweet potato mash grilled plantain and salad. The service was good overall, only negative was that the food took a long time to come. Will go again before I go home.

Casual and affordable waterfront dining in a tropical garden setting.
We had a wonderful dinner. The sweet chili shrimp was excellent and the greens and fruit on the salad were fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the owner/chef was charming. Near Vigie airport-no signage on access road (permit process pending)-donât miss it!
