Castile-La Mancha, a Spanish land of craggy cliffs, golden fields and red soil, produces savory Manchego cheese, olives, saffron and more than its share of mystery. Chase the enduring legend of Don Quixote among the windmills of Campo de Criptana. Pass through the Bisagra Gate to experience the walled city of Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage site that pays stylistic tribute to the Christian, Jewish and Islamic cultures. 16th-century Convent in late Gothic style, lovingly restored & converted into fascinating Hotel.
Two words: simply brilliant World class property, great staff in an amazing location. Can’t wait to go back. We had a room overlooking the bridge and town, worth the extra little bit of cost. The town is lovely, and the restaurant, bar and facilities at Parador Cuenca were excellent

We stayed here as a couple for 4 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable. The cups for the tea were very small but we asked at reception and were were given bigger ones from the breakfast room that we could use in the room. The breakfast was very nice with hot and cold food and plenty of cakes. The reception staff were very helpful and cheerful. Good location for sightseeing. Would stay here again .

Perfect location in the heart of the city. The quality of the hotel for the price we paid, beat out expectations. The hotel feels like you are part of the city, inside is spotless and our rooms had modern touches whilst still keeping the authentic charm of the building. The breakfast was great value for money and set us up for the day. With only a couple of minutes away from the Cathedral, we were in the perfect location to explore the city. We did take a car, there was plenty of parking as not many hotel guests needed space. I would advise if you are going to drive, have a small car due to the very narrow streets. Remember to check out the roof top terrace, lovely view where you can either sit in the sun or under shade.

Excellent location, very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Wonderful window view of the old town. But: There is no sound isolation between rooms, every time the neighbor takes a shower, it sounds like he does it in your room.

The Hotel NH Ciudad de Cuenca has just been renovated and it is located near restaurants and tapas , 15 walk to the shopping center el Mirador . It is just 30 minutes away from the old town on foot and on the other hand,it is 10 minutes away by car. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel too. In addition to this, there is a great area to park your vehicle and for free, this is fairly remarkable as well.
The NH Ciudad de Cuenca was easy to find and, as several other reviewers have mentioned, there is ample parking on the surrounding roads and we got a space with no bother just outside the hotel. Check in was efficient and helpful, and the lady provided maps and tourist suggestions without being asked. Our double room on the sixth floor was spacious, very smart and very well appointed. The bathroom was also very smart and had good quality toiletries as well as big, fluffy towels. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is a bit of a walk from the city centre. The lady on reception suggested that it is 35 minutes, but clearly gauged our fitness levels incorrectly as we got to the centre of the new town in an easy 20 minutes - actually it wasn’t that easy, as the temperature had reached 34C! The Plaza Mayor in the old town was a further 10-15 minutes. Breakfast in the morning was very good and comprised the usual selection of fruits, cold meats, cheeses etc. We also discovered a couple of small pots of scrambled egg, which was a bit of a bonus. Service was very good and when we asked for tea it was made for us, which is a nice touch. In summary, this is a top class hotel that we would certainly use again.

Nice hotel, with nice staff. Our room consisted of 2 rooms. Bedroom and living room. The bathroom was huge and included both a shawer . The room was furnished with wooden cabinets, and gave the feeling of a slightly antique house - I really liked it. The breakfast was very simple and modest, and the feeling was of a bit of chaos, especially since the meal was on a relatively small buffet for the number of diners.

The stamp of Cervantes impregnates the character of this Parador, the calmness of its luxuriant garden, its seasonal swimming pool, and attractive corridor. Its decorations offers the privacy and calms necessary to escape from daily routine in relaxing working sessions in its meeting rooms.
If you're enroute to or from Madrid, Andalucia, Alicante, and Valencia, this is the place to stay! Great rooms, excellent restaurant, and superb management. All at very reasonable prices. Lunch was excellent, especially the local dishes. And try the Jamon at the bar, it was one of the best we've had in Spain!

This hotel & it’s employees go above & beyond to ensure their clients feel safe & cared for during this unusual times. Right from checking in throughout our 4 day stay and up to checking out the staff treated us with courtesy & excellent manners. There was mats to clean your feet on arrival, hand sanitisers situated throughout the hotel & at every lift entrance. Buffet breakfast was still operational with the staff serving whatever you chose. The options were multiple & more than adequate. When asking for directions or indeed anything we were always met with smiles, despite our lack of the Spanish language we always were understood. The room was absolutely spotless with plenty toiletries. The tv remote which had been sanitised was in a separate cover ,the beds were extremely comfortable with extra pillows. We have no hesitation in recommending the EXE hotel. Free parking on site.

I had the worst burger I have ever had anywhere in the world. I was starving after a long day driving. The pattie was burnt one side and raw the other, with rubberised bacon and withered salad, truly atrocious and it cost €11. Service was appalling in the restaurant too. Everything else was fine.
