During our recent stay at Borgo Argenina, our host Elena Nappa arranged for a special dinner at this wonderful restaurant. "Giorgio" picked us up at our villa and drove us to the restaurant, unknown to us at the moment that he was also the Chef! Giorgio served a 5-course dinner, including a meat, cheese, olives and bread appetizer, followed by pasta with truffles, then "rocket" salad, pork and potatoes, and finally dessert. Every dish was "bursting with flavor"! In particular, the pasta with truffles was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten! Along with the delicious dinner was wonderful red wine that was an excellent complement to the meal. Thank you Giorgio for preparing this amazing dinner! Anyone staying in the area should take the opportunity to enjoy a meal with Giorgio!

An amazing place hidden in a hill top hideaway. Fabulous food , superb wine and extraordinary service. Truffles galore, be prepared to be impressed. Coeliacs catered for especially with the most amazing homemade gluten free bread and pasta. A memorable evening , thank you .

In the last few years I have had dinner at this restaurant a few times. The location is charming, the garden, attractive, the decor elegant and the chairs rather uncomfortable. The surprise lies with the food which can be either good or less than mediocre. The reason is that good chefs tend to quit and they therefore keep promoting ambitious sous chefs. These young chefs want to emerge and try very hard but unfortunately the result is simply not good. On the last occasion there was a loathsome touch of nouvelle added to traditional dishes. The raviolis were hard and tasteless, the cod was "decorated" with balsamic vinegar, the eggplant mousse tasteless and the dessert made you regret you had asked for it. What a pity considering that service was kind and friendly and the Chianti Classico was delectable!

The beautiful sight on the Chianti and on Siena will accompany your lunches and your dinners. It is possible to taste typical Tuscan salami, pecorino cheeses combined with honey and jams, all kinds of bruschetta, first dishes made with fresh pasta, rustic
Driving through Chianti, we found this adorable village at the back of which, with an incredible view of the surrounding valley and rolling hills, we discovered the villa di sotto restaurant. We had casarecce with a red meat sauce with fresh rosemary, the ravioli with spinach and truffles and the wild boar ragu. Presentation and food was very nice.Service was impeccable. Our waiter gualtiero spoke Italian, English and German and was incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for lunchDear Monika, thank you very much for sharing your opinions about Villa di Sotto Restaurant. When our guests are happy, we are happy too.Hoping to see you again, we wish you a good week.

Went for lunch at Osteria da Sira e Remino and had an OK meal. Most of us had pasta, and the pici with pepper and cheese was great, so was the pici with tomato/garlic sauce. My 7yo son had papardelle with wild boar and ate the entire plate :-) My parents had some grilled meat which was fine but nothing special. The restaurant forgot to serve the vegies they ordered as a side dish. Am unsure if they were charged or not as I did not see the bill. Icecream was a bit boring (sorry), so go elsewhere for desserts :-)

In the main square of Castelnuovo Berardenga from January 2016 there is AnioniMa X Restaurant & Bistrot. The kitchen is open for lunch and dinner, from 11.30 to 16.00 and from 18.00 to 23.00 and offers a melting range between the traditional Tuscan cuisin
We visited AnoniMa X twice on our recent holiday. Max is an extremely welcoming and informative host and guides you through the menu. The staff are very attentive and service is excellent. The food is delicious. The restaurant has the rare ability of providing an environment that suits both families and couples. Our son left his mobile âphone on our first visit and we got it back after good communication. We couldnât recommend it highly enough and if we visit the area again weâll certainly be paying them a visit. Thanks Max and the team

Relax: you are in Bengodi... This historic place is in the heart of Castelnuovo Berardenga, and has re-opened under new management starting April 2014. The gracious blend of traditional Chianti cuisine, the fantastic setting in the courtyard of a former m
We returned to this hidden gem of a restaurant two years after our first visit wondering if it would measure up to our first experience. It didnât- it surpassed it! The ambience is beautiful, cozy and romantic. The owner/ server/ translator and music facilitator is engaging, welcoming and helpful with selecting food and wine( and translating the entire menu). And of course the food!! One course more delicious than the other. We had risotto served from a hollowed Romano cheese, followed by the wild boar pasta and the veal with peppercorns and fruit, accompanied by a delicious local wine. Sadly there was no room for desert but I am sure they too would be perfect. We ate at a Michelin star restaurant last night but opt to rerun to Enoteca Bengodi tonight for our last night in Tuscany. It is nothing short of wonderful.

Typical Tuscan Osteria where the love for cooking, the quality of pasta & meat makes the difference. Sommelier AIS service for wines and selection of excellent local labels. You will find all this in one of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany, Villa a
Location typically "Tuscan Style", the beautiful Villa a Sesta.Small restaurant, simple but very family-friendly and quiet.Excellent food: 5 appetizers, 5 first courses, 5-6 main courses, some nice desserts. Essential and targeted. All is very nicely cooked, service is excellent without flaws. Decent portions (not the "dot-in-the-plate", masterchef-style b*****it).Interesting wine list, evidently chosen by a professional targeting local winemakers.definitely a must go. Very good evening.Thank you!

we visited with friends Tuscany, stayed a bit in Florence , Sienna and Castelnuovo Berardenga, deep , original Tuscany. A charming and very professional receptionist for our wonderful hotel recommended the La bottega del 30. It was one of the warmest gastronomic experience I ever had. Helene , the owner is a fairy tale book. A colorful life of love, great food and fantastic respect for the clients . Everything reminds you about your grandma's kitchen, the first cooking instruments, the books , old photos on the wall.It is from an old tale with great cooks, fantastic recipes and only good things. Once inside the inn only positive things can happen to you, Helene will tell you her life story, a beautiful young Parisian who after finishing Sorbonne fall in love with the handsome Italian and move to Sienna where they decide to open a small restaurant ...and the whole village conspire to their dream. And the story goes on. If you will visit the BOTTEGA DEL 30 you will discover where the story is today, because is a never ending tale. But you also will discover one of the best home made raviolis with ricotta and spinach made in an absolutely unique way. But no matter what you will choose it will be a delight, the whole history of Tuscany will be in your plate. Grandiose yet simple , majestic but popular , smooth but with personality. We had a wonderful evening with a lot of laughter and full of Helen's heartwarming stories . Do not miss the sensational desert, like pistachio parfait. Unreal , from another time, everything is from a book and once there you will be part of the story.I will go back for sure Thank you Helene, mercie de tout mon coeur P.s The restaurant is one of the longest Michelin star restaurant in Italy , got start 20 years ago

Awesome. Simply the best meal we had in Italy. The wild boar stew as well as the pasta are out of this world. Alma introduced us to the porcini mushrooms and we had the flan for starters. Simply gorgeous. Alma gave us excellent recommendations. The creme brulee tops up the entire meal. We will definitely come back again.
