Hotel Le Fontanelle is a gem of a property. Located in the heart of Tuscany, the grounds and buildings are exquisite. The staff was very professional yet friendly. Our room was lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We just had our (small, <30 guest) wedding here and it was perfect from start to finish! The staff were all so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating to us and all of our guests - both before and throughout our stay. The food, wine and cocktails were great. The rooms were comfortable and all unique. The pool was excellent and had a good bar, which served well priced drinks and snacks all day. The view of the Chianti hills was amazing - we never got bored of it - and the area around the hotel was so peaceful too. Overall, the hotel and weekend was everything we’d dreamt of, so just wanted to say thank you again to everyone at Villa Curina and would highly recommend staying there if you are fortunate enough to visit Chianti!

At few kilometers from Siena, on a hill dominating the town, stands the Ancient Certosa di Pontignano, a unique place where nature, history and hospitality blend together in a memorable harmony. The Certosa di Pontignano, official conference center of the University of Siena and ideal location for stays in Tuscany, is suitable for groups, families and individuals, in its wide variety of accommodation. In addition, the restaurant of the Certosa can provide a service of high quality catering both for the needs of our guests or for any special events such as gala dinners, weddings or other. For the availability of customers there is also the option of renting events; in case of large events with more people instead there are our great and fascinating conference halls, or, in the summer season, the two due chiostri and the Italian-style garden. Certosa di Pontignano, the timeless location.
We had a wonderful Easter holiday here! The staff, the building and grounds, the bar, the food - everything was wonderful! The special four-course Easter lunch was amazing and an all-afternoon event. I’d recommend it to anyone. They were especially accommodating to my husband‘s food allergy. We stayed in an apartment, which had such a unique atmosphere and was very comfortable except for the master bed, which had the hardest mattress I’ve ever slept on. I had to switch with one of my kids, in fact, and sleep in one of the smaller rooms. Next time we visit, I’ll check beforehand if we can get an apartment with softer mattresses. For anyone visiting Tuscany, I would recommend spending time at this glorious old monastery so close to Sienna!

San Felice Wine Resort is quintessential Tuscany at its best. Nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico among vineyards and olive trees, the medieval borgo – Italian for “hamlet” - is home to a beautiful Relais & Chateaux resort, Borgo San Felice. To stay there is to be suspended in time in a stunningly beautiful, restoratively peaceful, authentically Tuscan dream. The recently updated rooms and suites boast all of the modern amenities while at the same time transmitting a traditionally Tuscan feel with elegantly subdued colors, exposed beams, and windows looking out onto the vineyards and verdant hills. The 29 rooms and 31 suites are located throughout the borgo, giving guests a chance to explore tiny medieval streets, a beautiful rose garden, a flourishing vegetable garden, and the countryside that lies beyond the hamlet’s stone walls. Not to be missed are the Borgo’s two restaurants: the gourmet Poggio Rosso, offering traditional regional dishes reinterpreted with a modern twist and elevated to new heights; and the more laid-back Osteria del Grigio. Both restaurants showcase the award-winning, internationally-renowned wines of San Felice. Borgo San Felice also has a full-service luxury spa and a spectacular pool.
You could not fault the friendliness of the staff but somehow the whole experience was disjointed. My dinner in the grill restaurant was not delivered so I had to re order it eating after my family ate. When we checked in we had to wait 20 minutes as there was only one person at the check in desk. When we were shown to our rooms the porter locked us out of our room by leaving the only key on the table as she showed us the second room that had no card to work the electrical switches. We then had to chase back to reception to get another key and an electrical card for the second bedroom. The rooms had sensor lights that were supposed to come on when you got out of bed but both our room and my sons the lights randomly came on all through the night even if you did not move a limb! We had the worst two nights sleep ever do hardly s nice break.

While painters are born, travellers are made and no land has aroused the curiosity, the enthusiasm and the culture of entire generations more than Tuscany. Certainly, not all of them have had the luck to begin their journey in the enchantment of Castel Monastero. In fact a few kilometres from our village, along roads of pure delight, can be found masterpieces of art and of the highest culinary tradition.Every day, a discovery. Every day a different itinerary passing through unspoiled scenery. Every day, on your return, a massage and a candle-lit dinner. And together, over a romantic meal for two or with your friends, you will recall the frescoes of Piero della Francesca and the perfect walls of Monteriggioni, the Renaissance utopia of Pienza and the gastronomic glory of Castellina in Chianti. And again, to surprise you, there’ll be a sunset over Pitigliano and a stroll around the Etruscan necropolises of Sovana.
They mixed our bags and gave us someone else’s and another person was given ours. After 20 minutes of waiting, they gave us a room which we later found out wasn’t ours. It took them an hour to find and give us the correct room and I’m writing the review as I wait for them to find my bags.

Borgo Scopeto Wine & Country Relais is a 5 star charming hamlet in the Chianti region that perfectly preseves its original splendor, it is the perfect place to relax, enjoying the “dolce vita” and feel pampered by the most gracious of hospitalities. An exquisite environment to hosts exeptional events, in a paceful and quiet surroundings that seems to come out of a farytale, where guests can experience the best of Tuscany. The property is immersed in a rare picturesqueness panorama, enclosed by lovely gardens of lavander fields and it is surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive groves, overlooking the city of Siena, which is just 10 km away. The hotel features 52 guests rooms, suites, master suites and villas, a fine dining restaurant, a bistrot, two swimming pools, a wellness centre with Spa, a fitness center and two tennis courts.
Mid-May there was only one, small pool available (while hotel advertised having two - one for adults only with the bar, second one for families). Bar was closed, family pool closed meaning all guests crowding around one. Water was heated only on day 1 of my stay. The view from the pool? Not really - as hidden behind the fence. Room standard - 3 stars, not more. Restaurant ok, nice menu, rather higher than average food price. I feel I overpaid just to have someone to pick up my baggage and park my car. Not needed for me… i’ve been recently in such amazing places where view was even better, food and wine tasty as well.

Agriturismo Podere Casato, a beautifully restored Tuscan farmhouse, is situated in the Chianti countryside, with a large garden and splendid swimming pool. All rooms contain a private bathroom, AC and satellite TV . We also boast a 'ristorante' that specializes in Tuscan cuisine, noted here for its authenticity and quality of produce that make it really unique. While dining, you are in contact with nature thanks to the beautiful veranda that faces the enchanting Sienese hills.
I had an excellent time here. The food was delicious. The view was very beautiful. The atmosphere was cute, lovely, and quirky. The host was very helpful. When we had an accident in the mountain, the host wells very helpful in recommending a local handyman to fix the rim. Would definitely come back again.

We spent there three nights, the place is magical, on the top if the hill, surrounded by wineries. The building is thousand years old, but the rooms are comfortable and cosy. Not very fancy, but only in place like that you can really feel Toskania. The owners are super nice, they prepared dinner for us and other guests, it was homemade Italian food with delicious wine and live music. Breakfasts were also very good, prepared with fresh products. If you can tolerate only big hotels then it’s not a place for you, but otherwise I really recommend it. PS:The owners speak Itglish rather than English, but I don’t think this is a problem, we could understand them without knowing any Italian.
