I was referred by a local colleague with strong recommendations. And this restaurant stood up to my high expectations.
I visited this place along with my colleagues today and everyone loved the hospitality and food, more presentation and also taste.
Very fresh and tasty prawns, lobsters and mussels. Quantity is quite huge so be careful in ordering else you'll have many leftovers.
Also note this is a premium restaurant so prepare to reduce your wallet weight.

On my way to Villareal I stopped in this nearby city to eat. I found this Italian place, which was a great suprise. Amazing original Italian pizza. There were also many choice of pasta and meat. Couldnt try everything but I was more stuffed with the big pizza that I was served. Great service, good prices.

I ate at the Restaurante Aqua while staying in the adjoining hotel, and I was so surprised to find such a quality restaurant. The menu offers lots of choices of Mediterranean cuisine as well as a menu of 'Gastrotapas'. I chose from the regular menu, and was incredibly happy with the selection of 3 courses, bread and a drink for 20euros. Service was perfect, and the dessert I had (Tiramisu with rum of some kind) was absolutely amazing.

Restaurant in functioning for 15 years, with management and familiar personnel, placed in Castellon's Port, opposite the Hotel Turcosa and that consists of a dining room closed with air conditioning and heating for 90 persons and besides a Terrace equipped for summer and winter with a capacity for 60 persons. The restaurant offers fished savages of the from Castellon coast, seafood (caixetes of sea, espardenyes of sea), meats and there could not be absent any of his rices, about 25 specialities, domestic desserts. In addition it consists of an extensive wine list. Every quarter makes a new letter with changes of plates chord to the season. It is opened every day of the year and does Reservations.
There are a number of restaurants on the seafront and this came particularly recommended and highly rated but the end result for us was disappointing. Poor English, noisy place and misunderstandings on orders was our experience bit the root problem was poor English and lack of an updated English menu contributed to the problem but the food was decent.

We had the most wonderful dinner last night at this restaurant run by three brothers (two of whom graciously served us that evening) - a family jewel for four generations.
The food was magnificent and perhaps somewhat typical of the region yet completely unusual and beautifully presented.
Our host was very helpful, explaining to us in English to augment our broken Spanish and Italian (he also speaks Italian pretty well too).
We can't say enough about our experience and will certainly visit this place the next time we are in the area.

We tried Cuina de Fernando for the first time with friends following recommendations from them.
This is an old traditional house converted into a cost restaurant. Rooms in two different floors. Charming informal decoration create a warm atmosphere.
2 menús on offer. We went for degustation menu at 27eu pp. 3 choices of entrees, 1 main and dessert.
All dishes were good. Traditional dishes slightly deconstructed without however total loss of texture. I am not a big fan of deconstructed food but this really worked. Our favourite Dishes were the ravioli and the cochinillo.
Only problem i believe is that they do not rotate much the menu which means probable that after 2 or 3 visits this may become repetitive given short list of dishes.
We were very impressed. High ratings very well deserved!

This restaurant is absolutely superb and was surprisingly quiet on the night of our recent visit. Sergio and Silvia create some amazing dishes, simple in appearance but fantastic flavours and fresh ingredients, mixing different culinary styles. They are passionate about the food they serve and both took the time to describe and explain the menu, giving us excellent recommendations for meals and drinks. We had excellent croquettes, two different dishes of pork and finished with a magnificent chocolate brownie! Save room for this dessert if you come here!!! Highly recommended.

Been here many times and enjoyed every visit. No english spoken but pigeon Spanish works just as well. We are treated like old friends. Excellent food quality. Not cheap but then that is not what you go for. Frequented by almost exclusively Spanish people which says a lot. Visit if you speak a little Spanish or have a good dictionary!

How a BAD service and an arrogant attitude can destroy a wonderfull day. The MAITRE was so unpleasant that is dificult to evaluate other aspects of the dinner. FOOD 2 points, PLACE 1 points, SERVICE 0 points.
