La Bohème Restaurant is housed in the vaults of the Georgian ‘Port of Waterford’ building – an historic property which has been associated with the local Chamber of Commerce for many years.Proprietors Christine and Eric Théze have patiently restored this magnificent space to create an inviting and intimate atmosphere. Its original flagstone floors, limewashed walls and vaulted ceilings are unique and particular to Waterford. The design of the restaurant is sympathetic to the architecture of the building, with influences of New Baroque. The restaurant combines ornate antiques and decoration with modern touches creating an eclectic, decadent interior.La Bohème is a restaurant where the pleasures of the table are in accord with the décor, blending modern delicacies with recipes passed down from generation to generation. Enjoy an aperitif at our beautiful pewter bar while perusing the menu and whetting your appetite.‘Here at La Bohème we pride ourselves in going the extra mile to give our customers a dining experience beyond comparison’
We went here for a family celebration. It is our favourite restaurant. The meal was sublime - we ate from the market menu and everything was beautifully cooked with excellent service run by a very professional restaurant manager. Nothing was too much bother and we had the most fantastic meal and evening!!! Well worth a visit if you have never eaten here before.

The Thatch never lets you down.
So consistently fresh, tasty and delicious!
Vegetable Stir Fry - out of this world bursting with flavour and goodness.
Chicken Panini & parmesan chips ... Each mouthful more enjoyable than the other.
The place was hopping when we arrived lunchtime on Saturday but even so, the service was fast, efficient and as friendly as ever.
Really love this place - should not be passed by without stopping in.

I was at Dove Hill Irish Design Centre primarily to have a look at the new gardening centre and meet a friend for lunch. Lily Mai's restaurant is upstairs and, regrettably,I didn't check if it was wheelchair friendly. The food is limited but very tasty and there is a take-away section offering a comprehensive range of ready made meals, all prepared in-house by the Lily Mai’s Café kitchen team. The staff are friendly and very efficient and the restaurant is spotless. It's an ideal place to stop over for a daytime meal, relax in a pleasant environment and is obviously very popular with locals and tourists alike.

I was passing through Mooncoin and needed a coffee. Stopped at Rose Cafe and had the most gorgeous cappuccino and a white chocolate and raspberry scone. It was delightful and the decor was really lovely. I will certainly be going back to this great little establishment.

When I visited there was only a small selection of salads and homemade juices, with some granola bites etc at the counter. I love the concept, however this place is still in its fledgling stage and doesn't offer a massive variety on the menu. It does look promising, however, and I look forward to seeing how it looks in a few months.

Calle din here on a busy Saturday afternoon of the Clancy Brother's Festival.
Service was still quick and friendly.
The place is clean, attractive and easy to get comfortable in.
The prices are standard bar prices.
We didn't have food but what was coming out to others looked tasty - Would go back and try some!
Also well-known for being a good spot for a great night out.
Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

I came across this new Bistro as I drove to Waterford recently as I came through the village of Portlaw. It is nice to come across a small Bistro where there are no parking issues and you can get a nice snack without all the hassle of a city diner.
It is called Harley's and I had a homemade burger with homemade chips which are hard to find in this modern world. I will be back as the decor is modern and clean.Top marks for this good food and attentive service.
