We had a lovely dinner experience at this restaurant. The location is beautiful---in a small town i Puglia, in the main square, of the historic town center. Charming. The restaurant itself is run by the third and fourth generation, which adds to the charm. And the food, presentation and taste, and service, were superb. We opted for the tasting menu surprise (so we didn't know ahead of time what would be served), and it didn't disappoint. Creative, with local foods and flavors. We tried a bottle of the restaurant's own wine (they have vineyards and production) and it was very nice. Value for the price is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. Their Michelin star is very well-deserved!

If you want something special but can't afford Carovigno's restaurant par excellence, Osteria Già Sotto L'arco (and lets face it who can?) I would recommend the Ristorante il Castelletto. While meat and fish secondi can be just a little bit of a gamble, the Antipasti is out of this world and the wine list is terrific .

We were rather underwhelmed by the food in this very attractive restaurant with pretty garden. It was nice to be given a small prosecco as we ordered and chocolate liquor with biscuits after but the food wasn't great. The antipasti and primo piatti were small and unexciting. I had black rice with three prawns for €20. Mixed fried fish was dull. The steaks were like cardboard and obviously vacum-packed with no flavour, a sprinkle of pistachio on top and the smallest baked potato possible. The lamb was overcooked. The desert was basically ice-cream and did not live up to the description though tasty. The wine was good but the bill quite hefty. Although there were very few guests, the service was only average and, as a group of English women, we felt patronised by the patron and his "here's your fish and chips" remark. There are so many good restaurants in this part of Puglia I wouldn't bother t go back. Disappointing.

if you want family style restaurant and great Italian food for reasonable price, go here. The owner is so super nice ,always makes sure everything is under control. it's easy choice, if want great food ,not too much hassle , go here . In weekend owner makes great cheescake which is worth asking for when arrive to make sure it's not finished by the time your ready to order dessert. Share a nice pasta ,pizza and nice meat. Enjoy the wine and the service which is great. We come here each time we're in Carovigno and think that will never change

It's a beautiful, rustic-elegant looking restaurant. Family owned. No foreigners. The authentic Italian experience. The antipasto changes daily; innumerable little plates brought to your table which alouds you to have a little taste of everything: cheese, salads, seafood, polpetti, meats, stew, pickles, etc... They have a wood oven outside where the make all sorts of pizzas with the freshest ingredients. Open year round.

Called in to Carovigno for lunch and we visited this restaurant on the main piazza. The food was really good - particularly the seafood linguine which was superb. There was also a orecchiette Ragu with rabbit - which was full of flavour. We followed this with a mixed seafood grill - this was particularly good and so fresh. It was obvious that very fresh ingredients had been used.
It was a great meal and this restaurant is well worth a visit. We enjoyed the food and location.

During our week's stay in the area we had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant twice. We were so glad to return. Everything was so delicious and beautifully presented. Our children enjoyed the pizza and pasta. On the second visit we took the advice of other reviews and had the anti pasto. AMAZING! We were in heaven. The service was also excellent. Thank you to chef Laura and her team for two unforgettable meals. GRAZIE!

The pizza restaurant la rosa only 300 meters from the sea surrounded by greenery with indoor and outdoor spaces and ample parking .Nasce learned from experience over the years since the current management and the third generation of restaurateurs cooking draws all of the Sopori the sea and the first place I learned from grandparents , then the parents ( prorpieteri the old restaurant of tHE lo scoglio specchiolla ) enriched with new ideas and innovative managers .In addition to the great food you can find one of the best pizzas in the area .All this and surrounded by utmost kindness and dedication we put into our work with the aim to put at ease the client to make him feel at home .There just have to try to be able to judge for themselves
This is a new restaurant for us visited in August. We are regular visitors to restaurants in the area and La Rosa was recommended by some Italian friends. Very pleasant outdoor sitting area with attentive and pleasant staff. We chose meals that we were used to in other local restaurants (Fritto misto pesce, entrecote steak etc) and can report that the meals here compared very favourably. Fried fish was obviously home prepared and super fresh, steak was very tasty and tender, salad, chips and grilled veg were all a treat. Surprisingly there were no jugs of house wine but the bottle of Puglian white we had was quite classy and only 10 euros. Another good restaurant to add to our list. We were the only Brits there too which we rather like.

We visited on a Groupon deal. The starter was a platter of cheese, salami and bread - which was good if a little uninspiring. The pizzas had very good bases, but the toppings lacked a little flavour. The dessert was a piadina with nutella. The...Morecustomer friendly, people like her who, with a few words give clear meaning to what they write, are, in our opinion, a rarity. thanks a lot is still to early
