We had such a wonderful night at this restaurant! Consistent with other reviews, host Mira is incredible. She serves, cooks, converses in multiple languages and makes it all seem effortless. We ordered too much food, but everything was delicious! Mushroom soup was my favorite, husband got beef noodle. Each soup order enough for two people (2.5 euro). We ordered salad which consists of lettuce, pickled beets and tomatoes lightly dressed in a vinaigrette (3 euro). Mira also suggested we try the pumpkin seed oil which she left on the table - yum. We each ordered our own entrees (10.5 euros each). All were delicious - sausage, pork and trout. Served with zucchini and nettle cannelloni. Meats also included potatoes and trout served with roasted pistachios and capers. We sat on a balcony that overlooks trees. Temperature and setting were very peaceful and relaxing. There were only 8 tables and all were full. There are more tables inside but if you want to dine outside I would suggest reservations.

My first time at this inn, having been told nice things about food & service, read the same in regular column of the currently most influential restaurant critic in the country. To start with, it is a traditonal inn, not a glossy restaurant. Location well out of the usual way from Ljubljana to Maribor, quite far from Ljubljana as well. A traditional house, accompanied with a modern and truly nice looking additional building offering rooms for obviously very frequent foreign tourists. Parking easy, abundant space. A nice pavillion for weddings on a large lawn. A terrace for the summer months. Clearly key business beside the half-board guests is special events (weddings, birthdays). We had the questionnable benefit of sharing our time with one such party in the main restaurant hall, which required full attention of the staff available.Sadly, my own impression was a disaster. Having booked four days ahead, we had to wait for nearly quarter of an hour before staff prepared a table for us in a relatively nice (and entirely empty) dining room that a busload of tourists has left sometime earlier. No apologies, not even a drink on the house at the bar while we were waiting. Service by a completely fed-up male waiter was something one should best forget. Wine list non-existent, the choice of wine that the landlady (clearly alarmed by an obviously outraged guest) brought to the table was sadly limited to some dozen bottles of low to medium quality level. We wanted to order the dishes recommended by the above critic only to learn that you have to order these at least a day in advance, otherwise you have the classical low level guesthouse choice for the average gourmand (not gourmet, kindly note), prepared in a very correct, yet uninspired way. 9 on a 1-20 scale for the kitchen impression. However, when we were about to curse the day, the desserts came as a revelation â just like being in another restaurant. Designer plates and perfect patissier products â reportedly by the same chef. No idea....Great place for simple wedding parties, great place for your everyday Slovenian guest needing a serious wienerschnitzel at very friendly prices. But avoid if looking for a gourmet experience. Thereagain, you can read the usual enthusiastic praises of generously rewarded writers with ever new nicks that help nearly all restaurants here to have 4-4.5 out of 5 circles. There seem to be many such in Sloveniaâ¦

The restaurant offers you the chance to relax and enjoy a friendly and homely ambient with excellent cuisine. On warm sunny days, you can sit in the garden and enjoy the Sun's rays, or you can hide away in the shade of the atrium surrounded by greenery an
Little restaurant in the old city centre of Kamnik. Unfortunately, not the top place to it, food is ok, but nothing more than that, you feel sometimes, that you are sitting in someones livingroom, especially when sitting in a room, facing main street. Maybe appropriate place for a lunch break, but not for having dinner....
