Reviews on Bar food in Bequia, Caribbean. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a country of 32 beautiful Caribbean islands in the idyllic Caribbean, stretching south from Saint Vincent Island to Grenada. Proud of its French and British colonial history, it is now part of the Commonwealth of Nations and CARICOM. Bequia, pronounced "Beck-way”, is blessed with white sandy beaches, coral reefs, and friendly people. Port Elizabeth is a bustling yachting town. Enjoy yachting, scuba diving and snorkeling over coral reefs. Restaurants on Bequia tend to be small, friendly local enterprises. Try “goat water” soup, Bitter Lemon a popular soda and Hairoun the local brew. The island of St. Vincent, originally named Hairouna by the native Caribs, is relatively small, and its mountainous landscape makes getting around a challenge. Its capital is Kingstown and also its main port. Follow the Vermont Nature Trail and experience the spectacle of more than 500 parrots in flight. Numerous endemic species make this trail their home. Take a stroll along a scenic coastal path and take pleasure in the numerous waterfalls or hike to Fort Charlotte and be amazed by the views. Challenge yourself by a climbing the Soufriere volcano.

My wife had the creole conch and it was excellent. Rich flavors and tender conch. I had the conch chowder and it was awful. It had a bland clear broth and was almost tasteless with no flavor. The service was just average and it was fairly pricey at $22USD for the creole conch. Beers were also pricy for the norm in the area.
While the ambience is nice, the food menu is limited and overpriced. Imagine paying equivalent of US$30 for one measley slice of grilled tuna fish with French fries. Absolutely ridiculous!! Moreover, the food is NOT tasty at all!! One can pay equivalent of US$30 at other restaurants in Bequia and get a full meal inclusive of grilled fish, tossed / grilled salad, rice etc on the lunch and dinner menus. Furthermore, the road to the Jack's is dark and dreary. Parking is extremely limited. In all, you will pay for ambience. Is that really worth your hard-earned money?

My boyfriend and I had lunch at Whaleboner. He ate a lobster meal and I had the sauteed conch. Both were absolutely delicious AND affordable. The service was prompt and the ambience was amazing. Another advantage is that this restaurant has its own dock.

We ate lunch recently and spent 2 hrs plus waiting on service/food etc. Order was completely confused, never received much of what we ordered(food or drinks in spite of several reminders to staff), We had 3 salads(chicken, tuna and lobster) all were marginal at best, one was inedible. Two of our party ordered the rib special and it was good. Overall its very convenient to be beach but can't be confused with anything but a beach bar with food. Also credit cards are not accepted so bring lots of cash.

Right on the Lower Bay beach this laid back restaurant is a great lunch spot, a simple reasonably priced menu an bar selection, their lobster salad and conch souse are the best on the island, fries are always freshly cooked. Live music is available a couple of days a week and it is a popular weekend spot for Bequia families and tourists alike.

A bit north of the Elizabeth beach restaurants , Cocos offers fresh fish ,chicken and curry dishes. Great service . Clean friendly. Flaming bananas for dessert was delicious. They had a 3 piece band for entertainment during dinner. They were great !

We first visited Papaâs 6 years ago and were disappointed with the food and service. However, we had a completely different experience a few nights ago. The ribs were spot on and the service was outstanding. We have noticed on this trip a massive improvement in food quality and service on the island and nowhere was this improvement more apparent than at Papaâs. Bravo!

Enviably located on what many call one of the best beaches in the Caribbean is Jackâs Beach Bar. Completely refurbished and given a fresh lick of paint but still retaining the iconic bohemian beach-chic charm that has sailors, beachgoers and Bequians spel
Service was ok, but the food was amazing. Surprisingly the quinoa salad was a large portion, fresh, and delicious in every way. As a vegetarian there were a couple of other options, but I would literally come back just for this salad- really outstanding taste and presentation.Hello Sam! Thank you for visiting Jack's and for your great review. We look forward to seeing you again.
