Things to do in Carriacou Island
We were anchored off Sandy Island when the Isle of Reefs water taxi (gratis) came alongside and offered to take us to their bar / restaurant on the mainland. They were based on Sandy Island but the Government closed them down a week earlier so they have relocated to the mainland. The bar is on a beautiful strip of sand and well worth a visit. Great rum punch and cold beers and a decent selection of other drinks. The location is fantastic and the warmth of the greeting we received was brilliant. We didn't have time for lunch but suspect that will also be excellent. Highly recommended !

Waterfront Restaurant and Bar in Tyrell Bay, Carriacou, with a lovely ambience. It is the place to enjoy an ice cold beer, or rum cocktail, all through the day, with a sunset happy hour on rum punch. Taste our BBQ menu, including fresh lobster, catch of t
Everyone raves about the Restaurant / Bar . No idea why. Place needs a revamp, staff should at least know what's on offer. It is also the very 1st restaurant we have EVER been to that charges you per food item. Chicken has a price, veg have a price , chips have a price. What ever happened to pricing a plate of food??? Meal portions are tiny . I think I had 10 small chips and they charged me 10EC for. Would I recommend the place? NO I WOULDN'T So sorry you didn't have a great time with us. Our menu is designed to give customers the most choice when choosing main courses and side dishes to suite their tastes, and allows people to mix and match as they please. Sorry about the portion sizes we will speak to the kitchen staff, though our prices are lower than other local restaurants and we will ensure the staff know what dishes are available on the day. We are a local restaurant and our decor reflects that. Thank you for the feedback.

Having just returned from Carriacou this morning I thought it only fitting that I write this review. My nephew and I ate at the restaurant on Monday, we were served by the lovely Trevlyn who made us feel welcomed and tended to our every need. The drinks were ice cold as expected and again served with a smile. We opted for the smoked ribs and shrimp both came with a choice of rice or chips and salad. After eating we wanted to speak to the chef to thank her for serving such a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting. I would without doubt recommend the restaurant, I even met the owner days later and congratulated him on the service. My only recommendation would be a finger bowl to wipe my hands when eating the ribs, some might say you should use your cutlery but I prefer to get stuck in with my hands. I'll be back

The best word to describe Off the Hook is "cool", which is really what you're looking for on vacation... the guy who works there is very laid back, a regular guy, easy to chat with, and you can tell he likes what he's doing... we've been to Off the Hook a couple of times, in May 2017, and in July 2018, and on our last visit, we were virtually the only customers, as the summer was edging towards low season... we bought his last half bottle of white wine and had a fish fry with potatoes, an excellent lunch on a beautiful still unspoiled beach (especially when there aren't too many tourists around) ... we'll surely be back next time we're in Carriacou...

Waterfront, open air seating facing the moorings on Tyrrel Bay.
The Restaurant offers different dishes that may vary from day to day. The quality of the meals is excellent and they are worth their price. The service is very friendly and efficient.Reservation is not required but recommended.

Since the Ferry dock has moved to Tyrell Bay, folks will have to catch a No. 10 bus to the main town of Hillsborough. When alighting from the bus, as you walk to the road, you will see us, on the main street, almost opposite the Flow phone store. There is
Was extremely disappointed with our lunch sandwiches today. Friend and I ordered a BLT each. The bread was not toasted properly, we both opened our sandwiches to see the bacon and to our horror , it was little sprinkles of bacon . For the price you pay , it's absolutely disgusting. I asked to speak to the owner , whom is a fellow South African to be told she's not available. Sadly I didn't have my phone with me to take a photo. Dear Angela, I am so sorry you had to have this experience in the Cafe. If you addressed this to the staff, they know that if you have a complaint, it should be directed to me, if I am not available to refund your money or redo the order. I had just arrived back from overseas and had a few problems which I thought had been ironed out. If you do come back this way, please let me know, and I will refund your meal, or make another one to your satisfaction. Again apologies.

Contemporary Caribbean Dining with international flair. Bogles Round House is a memorable Experience well worth uncovering.
... I had the worst meal (if you could call it that) that I've had in a 6-week trip in the Caribbean and I haven't been eating in upmarket places. Don't be fooled by the menu on the website which I thought looked fabulous - that, I was told, is only Friday and Saturday. The menu I was presented with had the choice of 4 ok-sounding starters and 4 mains: burgers, fish n chips, chicken & some pasta dish for veggies. I mean, how exciting is that? Not. I opted for chicken. I don't come to the other side of the world for food I can get on my doorstep: fish in batter (my local chippie does a good job). So not their local mahi mahi or lionfish - nope, none of that. So I go for chicken local style ... unimaginative but usually good, I think. How wrong can you get? Dry, tough n leathery. The chips were no better than 4 out of 10. I didn't order the dessert - by then I'd lost the will to live. Trapped inside an old stone roundhouse with a tree in the middle. Stylish maybe, and cosy for a British winter Sunday lunch. But on a perfect evening in the Caribbean with a to-die-for blood red sunset, there are only two tables outside, both of which were taken. I wanted to cry before I saw the menu, I wanted to howl after I saw it. And I only just made it back to where I'm staying in Tyrrel Bay (take my advice, go there!!) before my insides reacted in distress too.Iâm really sorry you were not happy just to be clear we do a break down menu on Wednesday which is on our website which I know you saw because you booked on line you did not book a outside seating,we donât have any pasta dishes on any of our menus we did not have any Mahi Mahi on and we certainly donât ever do lion fish if your food was not to your liking Iâm sorry about that you could have send it back or tell your waitress about it where on the menu did you see chicken local style
