Reviews on Italian food in The Valley, Caribbean. The Valley is the capital of the British territory of Anguilla, and part of the Antilles Islands. A favorite vacation spot of water lovers, Anguilla is a popular destination for wreck diving, snorkeling, or parasailing. The historic district of The Valley is full of old-style wood houses, including the Wallblake House, one of the only surviving plantation houses in the Caribbean. The ruins of the Old Prison are at the highest point in Anguilla, and provide stunning views of the bright blue sea.

Artisan is one of the best places on the island for authentic brick-oven pizza. Itâs also surprisingly affordable, give that itâs not directly on the water. The atmosphere is good, the service is very attentive, and you should definitely try to Angry Shrimp appetizer and any gelato for dessert.
If you love a thin, crispy traditional pizza, you must visit Blue Bar at CeBlue. They have a real brick oven and a nice selection of different pizzas. The parking lot is past the entrance and they will send a golf cart down to pick you up. At the top, the view is amazing. The service is very good and the pizza is the best! This is a nice spot for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

We didn't have reservations the first night we visited, but they worked is in to the sequence. We made reservations for our second and third visits however. The young lady attending the 6 or so tables was absolutely the epitome of efficiency in this lovely little place. Ben fixed us some of our most memorable dishes and enabled some of our most memorable nights in Anguilla. We had profiteroles for dessert, OMG- amazing. Make the journey. You will never ever find place like this in the US.

My wife and I had dinner at Trattoria Tramonto during a recent visit to Anguilla. This was our first time there, though we considered eating there during previous visits. I'm glad we finally made it, because we really impressed with the food and service. The restaurant is a bit hard to find in the dark. Take the main road all the way to the west end, where the public road ends and a private road begins (there's a sign for the restaurant there). Proceed down the private road and you'll see the restaurant. The restaurant is close to Cove Castles, which has been closed for many years now.I had made a reservation (via e-mail). When we arrived, they had us down for 4 people instead of 2, but they quickly rearranged the tables so our new table for 2 had a better view than the original table for 4 (we didn't ask to be moved). That was our first clue that the service was going to be really good. The decor inside the restaurant was very attractive, with high ceilings, and everything was open (but covered). We decided to skip starters and save room for dessert instead. For dinner, my wife had the lobster ravioli and I had the "Homemade Tagliatelle alla Bolognese della Nonna," both of which were very good and high quality. We had a bottle of the house red wine (a chianti) with dinner, which was good. For dessert, my wife had the molten chocolate cake and I had the tiramisu, both very good. I also had a glass of calvados after dinner. Service was excellent throughout the meal.I wished we had tried Trattoria Tramonto sooner. It's definitely on our short list for future trips to Anguilla!
