DEAR TEAM OLD FISHERMAN...I am a tried and true fan of your restaurant, ever since finding you on the pier. I've followed you to your first restaurant and now to your newer location. Me and my family have eaten in your restaurant locations many many times over the last 12 years and probably have tasted every thing on your menu over the dozen years. This past trip, last week, we were served 2 orders of Pan Bati, our all-time-favorite-appetizer. We've been known to just come in during the day for an order to go to bring back to the poolside to share with our pool friends, which usually then translates to them "trying" your establishment with rave reviews. This past week, as the Pan Bati was brought to the table, I and my family, immediately smelled the sweet Pan Bati, but the smell of old and/or rancid oil was far too much to bare and eat. We immediately sent it back, with no one taking a piece due to the horrid smell. I made an issue of it with the "hostess' who denied the oil being "old" and removed it from our bill. I wasn't looking for it to be removed, I surely wanted to pay for good Pan Bati. May I make a HUGE recommendation, follow the path of your oil and don't serve Pan Bati with that smell- it takes away from your ratings.
