We drove from Portsmouth NH to have dinner here for Christmas and were so glad we did! This place is bursting with charm. When you walk in there is a cozy lounge with piano player. The decorations are adorable.
The 3 course dinner was excellent..salmon better than the haddock. The lobster bisque was terrific.
Friendly staff in darling location.
There is valet parking.
Definitely worth the 25 minute drive!

The food was excellent as was the service. Loved the atmosphere and will return often. One of my favorite things is they offer many choices as sides with NO upcharge. Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Homemade Chips, Coleslaw, Demi Salad, Veggies. The demi salads were great to have with our sandwiches. This happens very rarely in a restaurant. Some of us just do not want fries or chips. Most of the dinners on the menu do not go over $20.00. Next time I want to try the clam chowder. AND that will be Friday. Grandaughter is sleeping over and asked if we would take her there for a burger.

After visiting some windy beaches, mountains, and lighthouse we were glad to sit inside for a while and enjoy lunch! I had a salad and clam chowder (and it was excellent). My companions enjoyed sandwiches. Be sure to save room to enjoy either the freshly made salt water taffy or the artisan chocolates. We opted for chocolate - one piece each!

The unassuming location was tucked away in a residential area, steps away from the Nubble Lighthouse and Fox's Restaurant. Perhaps it was because of the end-of-season wind-down, we were served giant scoops of ice cream but nevertheless, they were enjoyed thoroughly.

Open daily in the summer, in the fall open from lunch to dusk, closed November-April
This is the more traditional creamery type ice cream with great flavors. The staff was friendly and the ice cream was great. The Blueberry pie ice cream was the best.

What an experience! Probably had to wait 20-30 minutes in a line that stretched to the outside parking lot...but well worth the wait. House Special is the best...I even bought a jar of the hot dog sauce! Flo’s daughter now runs the place and she and another young lady were just cranking out the dogs...If you are in the area...it is a must do...

Probably without a doubt the second best meal we ever had anywhere! Food was plentiful and downright perfect. They start you off with a soup choice, I did Fish Chowder, Hubby did the Clam Chowder- both excellent. Then we had the whole entire lobster brought over (one each) and it was the freshest I ever tasted. Sides were numerous corn on the cob, baked potato, veggies lots of choices. Drinks were a treat. I had a Fish Bowl that was blue with a half dozen swedish gummy fish in it and something crushed to resemble coral that was tasty. The waitress were like salty old women that just added to the whole experience instead of taking from it. We would fly back just to eat here again!

Upscale burgers including Bison, Natural, and Prime. All Natural Chicken. Fresh cut Maine potato fries. Fresh fruit drinks and frappes. Beer and wine.
We shopped at the Kittery outlets and was heading back to Ogunquit. We were hungry. Saw Wild Willy's Burgers and decided to stop and have a bite to eat. Yum. We got burgers and chicken sandwiches - all great. And let's not forget the hand-cut french fries. So good. And the staff always tries so hard to make the customer happy. Thank you.

In a time where everyone seems to be into metro or gourmet cuisine I am very pleased to know a place still exists to get a true New England breakfast. By that I mean a place where all the classics can still be enjoyed from eggs & meat, waffles, pancakes, and even yes a few new age healthy items like yogurt parfaits. After going to Ogunquit every April and October for 15 years I finally stopped by the Cove Café last year and was truly smitten. I was just up for my annual October visit this past weekend and breakfast was fabulous with honorable mention to the best hash I have ever had in a long while. For you non-Yankee's/New Englander's hash is a delicacy when made correctly and that is the Hash I had this past Friday morning. If I had not had the chance to meet Jeb I would have sworn he had my mother back in the kitchen cooking as his hash was just like what my late mother used to make. So if your looking for a rib sticker of a breakfast, with great staff, and cozy atmosphere then stop by the Cove Café.

Casual dining in an historic restaurant and tavern. Lobster, steaks chef's specialties, seafood, American cusine
We thought our dining experience was the best of the year. We sat by a cozy wood burning fireplace in a comfy environment with great service and excellent food. We started with the pumpkin fries which were made from pumpkin not just an added flavor. They were excellent with drizzled sauces. We also enjoyed the chicken which is a speciality of the house and salmon. The chicken was fried but was dipped in chickpeas so gluten free. Very nice to be able to enjoy fried chicken if you are gluten free! The salmon was excellent also with its sauces. Decent wine selection which we felt was reasonably priced. Good whiskey and after dinner drinks and desserts. Overall, the best dining experience of the year for us.
