I've been here a few times with my boyfriend - we have always appreciated the way they cook American food. We often go to Buongustaio because we know how accurate they are in preparing their big dishes with big burgers with selected meat, roasted corn, fried onions and so on. Unfortunately, the last time we went there the food was not as expected and for two burger dishes, one small beer and a Coke, 42 ⬠was way too much. I don't know what happened, but that disappointed us pretty much. A part from that, the staff is very polite and careful. We like it here. What went wrong was basically the unexpected high price. Hi Cecilia, how you descrive your last visit looks like you eat two simple beefburgers...but if I compare the price probably you ate something special.Try to be more precise because when you make a rewiev to a business you may damage or promotote it.In this case I will said you wrong, quality meat and extra topping are always been charged more like any other restaurant. Thanks, anyway.

This restaurant was a nice find for us to provide our family of 10 a nice meal of pizza and pasta. It's casual and easy with good everyday Italian food. The restaurant is run by father/mother/daughter. No English is spoken but it wasn't a problem. Service was quick/friendly and our patronage was very appreciated (unlike many restaurants in the area). If you're in the area north of Lucca and don't want to cook on a given night, La Fraga should provide you that simple, low cost, quality meal you're looking for adults and kids alike.

Real typical Lucchese food. If you want to have a great time, you should come over this place. The view is breathtaking. The food will make you go delirious, and the portions are huge. The waitress and owners are extremely polite. The price is very reasonable, I think anyone could afford it. This is the real deal, straight up! I'll go back there again... That's for sure!

Wow this was fantastic pizza, the restaurant was packed, thankfully we booked before arriving or it would have been to go. This is very local, it's not a fancy restaurant but the food is amazing. We had a wait because it was packed but no one minded. You want fast food go to Mc Donalds :-).This is worth the drive.
Grazie!

We have visited this pizzeria 3 times already this holiday. The pizzas are some of the best we have ever tasted, they take 10 minutes to prepare your order and they are very reasonably priced. The staff are all very friendly and obliging if you want something that is not on the menu. I dare say we will visit again before the end of our holiday.

Meats, pizzas, beers, Coca Cola and appetizers to go go!
Great pizzas. Happy friendly staff. The sausage and Gorgonzola pizza was delicious. We visited twice in our weeks stay in the area. Ottimo

Donât let the outside of this wonderful little pizzeria put you off. Walk through that dingy doorway, continue past the deli counter (which is pretty special In itâs own right) and into a lovely little restaurant in the back. The place is always full of locals which always tells me a lot about a place! They do some nice appetisers and a few pasta dishes and Secondi plates, but itâs the pizza that makes this place. With a huge pizza oven and probably 40 different pizzas on offer you canât go wrong. Our party of nine went twice on a recent holiday and both times we all came away really satisfied. We made the mistake of choosing a different place for our meal on our last night and we all regretted it!!A little tip, save yourself for pudding and walk just down the road to gelateria Sauro who do the most amazing gelatos!!

Whilst not a destination eatery, if you're in the 'hood (for example, visiting the villas nearby) and are looking for a decent pizza with an enormous choice of toppings this is the place. It's a relatively small joint (10 - 12 tables depending on the layout) and very popular with locals both eating in and taking out (especially around 8pm). There are three sizes of pie, the middle being the most 'normal'. There is good focaccia as well as both red and white pizzas with the biggest selection I have seen anywhere. The kitchen is well organised to cope and the single waitress at the front of the house did an outstanding job of prompt service with a smile and an explanation when required the night we visited. The guy who set up the joint used to work at Lucca's oldest pizzeria, Felice, and obviously learnt his trade well. Is there a unique selling point (USP) apart from the pizza choice ? Yes, I would say the Trentino beers (BiDiBa) which are excellent with one on tap. The wines looked fine but we didn't try them.
