The first impression of the service was good. The waiter explained the special for the day: A whole lobster with pasta and a salt baked sea bass.This sounded delicious, so this was ordered.While waiting I saw several times where the waiters were unsure where to go, and one waiter tried to serve me ham and melon.After the very delicious meal I asked for coffee and grappa. When the waiter placed it on the table, he was busy talking to other people and looking away from the table.This is not acceptable at a restaurant where you pay 20 EUR for both first and second course.Everything else was excellent.

We had lunch here after visiting the nearby Greek temples. Beautiful rose gardens, such a pity that we couldn't sit outside to enjoy them. Restaurant was empty except for a couple of locals (it did fill up later however) so there wasn't much atmosphere. Given the size of the place I would suggest it's geared up for bus tours in the summer. Pleasant staff and very tasty pizzas. Very resasonably priced.

We visited Domus Clelia on spec albeit with some trepidation given the restaurant's proxity to the Paestum archaeological park with its streams of other tourists. Despite the late hour for lunch 2.30 and the restaurant being almost empty, the kitchen and wait staff accommodated us - and, indeed, excelled. We had a refreshing bottle of the local white, a shared caprese, and mixed seafood for secondi, mine a wonderful grigliata mista pesce and my wife frittura gamerberi e calamari. Both secondi were excellent.Mine comprise two lovely red prawns, a real fresh swordfish steak, and squid, all beautifully seasoned and grilled to perfection, and accompanied by an equally good vedure alla griglia. We finished with homemade tiramisu.So, visiting the restaurant with no real expectations and some trepidation, we had probably the best seafood meal on our 7-day trip - and a really welcome one as the rain began to pour down just after we arrived, and stopped just before we left. The gods were with us. And service was excellent- efficient and friendly. Great value, too.We will surely visit on a return trip to Paestum.

Phenomenal meal in out of way place. Beautiful room with super and attentive staff â not obtrusive. Room overlooks a little canal in a beautiful location at base of mountains. Remarkable set of amuse bouches! All flavorful; worked well. Among amazing dishes: stuffed artichokes; rabbit tortelloni, lamb in agrodolce sauce. Great evening, very much worth a detour.

Between Sicily and Roma sits the most intriguing joyful restaurant full of charm and fantastically prepared Italian cuisine. This is one dining experience not to be missed just 5 iminutes east of the autostrada, most extraordinary and delicious. Great care by the pleasant married couple owners creates an enjoyable unforgettable taste with each mouthful . Simply put, the place rocks, so do yourself a favor and make a reservaton - youll thank yourself because you deserve to remember this heavenly delightful Italian sweetspot.

After a couple of visits to this restaurant it is time to express my appreciation. Having top food, based on local ingredients, for honest prices, prepared and served by people with passion for their work in a cosy almost personalized environment, what more can you wish for? Sure, also the selection and the prices of wines are oké. I know some people are more for quantity than for quality and have no idea about the efforts it costs to be creative without being rediculousâ¦. But for those who are in to true gastronomy: this is a place to visit! And don't worry; normal stomachs are filled quite satisfying :-)I will be back a lot of times if this restaurant is continuing on the same level.

Went for dinner family of four (children 8+6). Waiter not particualrly friendly. Decor ok. Small roadside outside area. Good range of pasta, pizza and fish dishes. Mozzarella starter (with tomatoes, also can come with cold meats) was excellent. Small wood fired oven does good pizzas. Sea Bass was very tasty. But spoilt by very slow service - wine took 25 minutes (!) to arrive, main courses 50. Total (1 starter, four mains), 1/2 bottle wine - 74 Euros Go, but not if you're in a hurry.

We were staying at the hotel next door and didnât want to venture out to dinner. While more expensive than we planned it was worth every cent. The service was impeccable, friendly and professional. The staff love what they do and respect the food they prepare and serve. The buffalo steak was excellent (order it rare!) as was the duck. I went here in July 2013 actually and it was great for me because I was so sick of pasta having already been in Italy for some time. It is the only "true" pub in Italy and they have a unique selection of German beer that can only be found at Geminus pub.

We had diner with two, was a lovely setting. It had a lot of caracter (big difference with the other hotels around Paestum with no soul). The welcoming was realy warm and friendly. Diner was fantastic. We got several appetizers for free that tasted great with a glass of Prosecco. Our anti pasta was the famous Mozarella and was realy good. The duck and the yellowfish as main course : delicious. To finish we had a great desert and a superb Limoncelle (one of the best I ever drank). All within a realy reasonable price (75 euro for diner with 2). Five stars for sure, thank you for the great evening!
