Although not in Zurich city if you on way say to Ikea or servicing your car nearby or visiting a car dealer in the area then definite stop for a meal or quick doner kebab sandwich.We had one main with lamb skewers ; one mixed Schwarma and fries and two portion of kibbes. If you not familiar with Lebanese food waiters will explain one speaks English .Many vegetarian options - hummus; falafel; eggplants and other salads. Desserts also good like baklava or kanafaExcept the pitta bread which was dry all was Freshly prepared and tasty. Good value for the price compared to center of Zurich . It is a small place but friendly staff. Way better then a Zurich chain of Turkish food!!

I will first identify the good thing that deserved a 2 rating and that is its starters. Even a platter of mixed dips for 02 is good for 4 with hot bread which is very good. The rest is all south. So if you go to the grill counter to see what they have in mix grill or special, you only see 5 trays of lamb, chicken, spicy mince, pistachio mince and regular mince and they play the name game of all dishes within these 5. Even though the menu claimed amazing names, both mince and chicken were overly dried - more freezer time more dried up meat. The biggest objection to the place owner, Yes the owner and not me is that why we are 4 people and ordering 2 platters. I was asked this question twice and when I asked why I am being charged 10 CHF for an additional piece of bread, I was slapped with the same statement - you are 4 people and order 2 platters. Excuse me is there a restriction for not ordering freezer burnt meat?We've been to Taksim square in Istanbul and the Kebabs on normal street shops is way tastier, fresh and cheaper than this place. So it's your choice whether you want to be ripped off at this place and treated rudely since you want to check whether you should order more if you like it after tasting something basic, then please by all means go there. BTW the owner doesn't care as he already has an established customer base. Siz önce restaurant da. At the end of a two week trip throughout Europe, my husband and I made reservations at Za'atr to enjoy a last meal before we headed home. We arrived just before 7pm in the very small restaurant (only 4 tables inside) and proceeded to order the mezze platter for two. We got to choose 4 cold dishes and 3 warm dishes and it was CHF 63. The food arrived quickly and totally blew us away with its flavor and freshness. The falafel were the best we've had outside of the Middle East!!! While the restaurant may not look like much from the outside or inside, trust me, it is a hidden gem that you simply must visit! If you would like a seat, I would suggest making reservations which I was able to easily make via email. Definitely stop here while in Zurich if you love Lebanese food!

This Bar/Café is located at the Lindenplatz Tram #2 stop. The bar has mostly tables and padded chairs, a sports TV and during my visit mostly older gentlemen hanging out and having a few beverages.I ordered a Doner (9CHF) and it is made with grilled Panini type bread and has good flavor and potential, except for the fact that I was served all of the outer shaved part of the meat and all of this meat was totally dried out. No effort was made to serve me any of the non-outer dry shavings of the meat. The Doner was made with the ingredients that I requested. The restrooms were clean. Really too bad that more effort was not taken to serve me any of the juicier cut meat. Based on this visit and the dry meat that was served on my Doner, I would not visit again.

We really enjoyed the food, i would say it was some of the best we had whilst in Zurich. Price wasn't too bad either but the service was certainly slow, for the whole meal. we waited 30 minutes for our deserts and had to remind them.
