Things to do in Stafa
We have been living in Stäfa for about a year and did not know what to make of a fondue stube popping up where usually the lake bathing spot was in summer - what a cute warm surprise stepping in: a mix of the 80s feeling and kind of a mountain chalet... good fondue, excellently accompanied Chinese fondue... and the raclette looked good each time when we visited it (we went three times this winter!!!) Funny old(er) music and/or German shlagher (?!?) music playlist and disco stroboscopes ;) Warning - it disappears in March; I hope it pops up again next winter - we'll be back :)

Although Debbie cultivates a passion for the traditional Italian cuisine and is a master at preparing fresh pastas, ravioli and gnocchi, she will surprise you, using new and interesting flavours from around the world. Freihof by Debbie is committed to ser
Debbie's is a warm, inviting restaurant with a wonderfully delicious menu, right in the heart of Richterswil. You feel at home right away with the cozy atmosphere. Upon request, Debbie baked her amazing carrot cake for our surprise birthday party and presented it herself, to our guest of honour! Our group was sitting on the beautiful, outdoor balcony and when it became a little windy, were we moved inside to be a little warmer. The care and the quality of service is exceptional. Debbie's is not to be missed!

From outside this looked great. Lots of guests too. But service was spotty, food delivery was very slow and they were not busy. Steaks were over cooked. A second waitress, nicer than the first, tried to be helpful, but sadly offered up that appalling line: "can I offer you a coffee". Giving away the cheapest thing when we have had the most expensive thing spoiled. In the end, they did not charge us for the one glass of wine.We will not be back. sad, as it has a great location.

We were invited to this restaurant by a friend of ours, who lives in Stäfa. The view over the Zurich Lake is absolutely gorgeous! I have been to many other restaurants in this area but this restaurant has an open and wide view thanks to its unique location. It is located on the hill of Stäfa and if the weather is nice it is highly recommendable to stay on outside and enjoy the night view. The food was good and meat and vegetables were obviously fresh. Very kind and efficient waiters and waitresses. They also have good choices of wine. We had a bottle of Räuschling (typical Zurich dry white wine) which was harvested in the vineyard just in front of this restaurant.

My Swiss friend took me to the restaurant on week end according to her city resident who wants to go further up to the lake loves to go to the restaurant especially during summer for picnic. The location of the restaurant is by the lake so the view is amazing. This is a family restaurant which existed in the area long time. They serve different kind of foods but their speciality is lake fish (even I cannot spell it the name) which is fried served with whatever you like fried potato, mush potato or rice. The taste of the fish was good but I prefer to be grilled or marinated. The service was excellent, the ambience was perfect. It is good for new experience having lunch with local food.

We took a menu of 5 courses with wine. The food was very delicate and refined, the wine excellently combined with the dishes and poured generously. We were very pleased with the evening. I liked the old interior, places like this are very traditionally decorated and this is their strenghth. The prices are decent for the quality and the service very friendly. Plus the beautiful view to Zurisee... I would be very happy to go there again.

There are many good restaurants around here these days and this is one of those which you should try. The location is a bit unfortunate being situated next to a modern building, shopping centre and right next to a busy roundabout. But the building is an impressive half timbered historical object. According to the brochure Goethe favoured this place (1707) and had his meals here. Although the entire building is quite big, the restaurant itself is not so spacey e.g. perhaps for 30 people, charmingly decorated, clean, with a good friendly atmosphere. During the warmer seasons there are tables outside, they call it Sonnen-Terasse (the view is not the best, though). Main thing: the food was excellent. They serve Swiss traditional cuisine with a touch of nouvelle cuisine. What I would recommend is traditional â Rehschnizzelâ venison, with red cabbage, chestnuts with cognac cream gravy. They also serve the fish directly from the Lake Zurich, which, unfortunately, I did not have the capacity to try. They also serve excellent local white wines e.g. räuschling etc.

Restaurant Villa Sunneschy is open all year around. We have a Restaurant with 3 different sections, Smokerslounge with Cigars, Semminar Rooms, a Ball room and a huge Terasse outside for 100 People. Perfect for Events! Very kid freindly seeing that we are
Visited Villa S again, and yet again not only the atmosphere is great but more important the food is fantastic. I had a mixed salad to start and Filet Mignon Medallions (Rindsfilet-Medaillons mit Portweinjus). The salat was great, my wife and I were craving for salat after having spent a week high up in the snowy mountains. The Filet Mignon Medallions were made to perfection and so was the specially ordered fried potatoes!!! One critic thoughâ¦. The medallions were not 2 but merely 1 1/2, that said â I had enough to eat though .My Wife had Saltimbocca with Risotto (Tages-hit) , and she confirmed that here food was great too.I highly recommend a visit to beautiful Villa Sunneschy, I trust Beda and his team will surprise you with excellent food and a very nice ambiance.

Stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. Absolutely awesome service, freshly prepared dishes, all home-made. Cannot rave about this restaurant enough. We had one vegetarian in our group and the chef prepared a marvelous mushroom pasta dish that was amazing. This small restaurant outranks some of the finest largest establishments I have had the opportunity to enjoy in all my travels.
