The risotto here was the best I have ever had in my life. The schnitzel was more beautiful than at all those fancy places in Vienna. Service simply makes you happy; all those smiling faces are unforgettable. And then again that risotto... This must be heaven...

We visited the restaurant for valentines with my girlfriend and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel Schweizerhof right in the heart of the city, in Bahnhofplatz. This means that you wonât simply walk by, see it and go in..but that is what I call: â..the best thing is sometimes hidden right in front of you I plain sight..â and ideal for special occasions! From the moment we arrived every member of the staff was super friendly, polite and just made every effort to make sure we had a great time! Especially Simon (our waiter) who was just perfect in every aspect and in every little detail! My girlfriend, being chef de service in another restaurant herself, notices everything when it comes to service and she was just amazed! Later she told me she felt she was treated like a princess which is exactly what any man wants to hear! The food/drinks were also great! Probably the best Hugo weâve had as a starter drink, then she had a soup and I had fish for starters which were both good. For main course we both had risottos ; one safran with Lamb and one truffle with veal schnitzel. Both main courses were excellent! The meat was cooked perfectly and the risotto was perfect as well! All paired with two glasses of great red wine. Great choices of dessert as well and they even went off catalog for me and prepared a mouse chocolate!Price wise everything was also as expected, given the quality of food and service. Definitely a pricey restaurant - $$$$ - but also definitely worth it for special occasions.I would highly recommend for couples and for special occasions!

This restaurant deserves the two Michelin stars. Chef Heiko Nieder is brilliant in his presentation; the dishes are beautiful to look at as much as they are delicious to eat. He manages to blend well ingredients from all over the world into his dishes to have a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended.

Not far from the Zurich airport at the Old Village Square in Opfikon, the miracle fountain from 1882 is considered to be an almost secret source of grandiose wine enjoyment. More than 3500 wines are on the menu and also 130 wines are offered in the open b
I've been three times now, and this has become one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I'm Swiss but have been living in the USA and Asia for 30 years, therefore I really appreciate great Swiss food, such as served here. The decor is contemporary, tasteful, it feels light and airy and yet they managed to create a warm and cozy ambiance. On all three occasions, the food was outstanding and the service is fantastic. Warm, friendly, not stuffy, not overbearing, but efficient and professional. They have an extensive wine selection as well. If you need to entertain guests and want to impress, this is the place to go, just a short drive from downtown Zurich. The prices are very reasonable for Swiss standards, entrees are priced in the CHF 35 to CHF 45 range, with a couple of filet dishes in the CHF 60 range. Well-worth every franc! Every dish I've ordered came out looking perfect and tasting fantastic. I'll be back again on my next trip for sure!Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback. We're really happy to get a so greatful compliment.Every time we try to do our best, to generate fortunate guests in our restaurant. We're thrilled to your next visit in our ambience.

The cabbie couldn't really find the place because it was not what he was really looking for, I believe. And my wife and I felt more or less the same way. But there it was; not very impressive on the outside, and the inside was only slightly better. But the service was marvelous and the food was superb. The wine list was pretty good, too, BUT -- like everything else in this wonderful old city -- EXPENSIVE. I'd still recommend it highly.Dear GuestWe are pleased to hear that we were able to convince you of our product and services despite initial difficulties.Thank you very much for your recommandation and for the dedicated time to write this feedback. We would be happy to welcome and spoil you again in the nearer future. In the meantime we wish you all the best.Best regardsAnita Ladner, Restaurationsleiterin

Excellent service, friendly, helpful, good business lunch and others, very comfortable seating, rather quiet without unpleasant music. Dessert is a tiny bit on the sweet side but beautifully presented. The price of the business lunch is acceptable for an expensive city like Zürich. My friends have lamb, they find it good. The service is very attentive. Definitely recommendableDear Madame or SirThank you very much for your visit at our restaurant and your kind review. We appreciate your remarks regarding the athmosphere, service and food, as we always try to improve. We are looking forward to welcoming you back soon.Kind regards, Gian Reto Camenisch, Restaurantleiter

restaurant near from airport, a wonderful garden, a bar, a lounge, a hotel, bowling lanes; all these you'll find in the hotel restaurant frohsinn 5 min from airport and 15 min from zurich. With our kitchen quality, our first-class price performance ratio,
For the celebration of my mother's 90st birthday, she choose the "Frohsinn" which we visit every now and then only, as it is a distance from our home. The welcome was warm, gracious and accommodating, the table in the wintergarden lovingly set and the service very attentive. We were able to have a drink bevor lunch on the terrace, as the weather was very nice, which of course added to our well being. I had pre-ordered the menu and the preparation of the food was excellent, the meet (a veal roast) very tender and juicy and the presentation very appealing. It tasted excellent and the wine we had chosen was great as well. We will certainly return and can only recommend the restaurant.

Our small restaurant is known for having a small menu, but our dishes are of the best quality and taste. We only use Swiss products, dispense with semi-finished products and produce almost everything ourselves. The name SIGN comes from SIGNature Dishes. J
This small streetside restaurant has outdoor seating and a modern but warm interior décor. There is a good selection of food and drink; prices reflect Wallisellenâs location near Zurich, meaning on the higher side. Service on my first visit was a bit shaky; I had to keep getting the waiterâs attention, but on both occasions all of the waitstaff was friendly. The paprika soup was excellent; the schnitzel quite good.Dear GuestThanks for your great review. We are glad that you enjoyed our meal and enjoyed your meal. We look forward to welcoming you again, hopefully see you soon, best regards Marco Früh & SIGN Team
