Really nice place to taste dishes "street-food"-style for lunch in Zug as an option to the boring and expensive restaurants around town!
Great place to have a quick bite. Tasty soups and sandwiches. Good service. Their specialty is sweet bakery and chocolate. This is a great place for coffee&cake, exactly what Zug needed.
Well situated during shopping it serves well for a coffee and the newspaper or a quick lunch and to meet someone.

Nice little tea parlous near the railway station. Good scones, the service is not too friendly and the Cherterfield sofa tends to keep all the crumbled scones of the last guests! Good for those who want a taste of home!

We pass this café quite often and really like the ambiance in the evening but we finally went there today for lunch. Being a small café you don't expect anything very sophisticated but I would have liked a little bit more choice! My husband took the menu with soup (which I didn't think was made from scratch, I would really say that it came from a packet) and the pasta with muschrooms and ham. He was happy enough with his choice. I had the cordon bleu with salad. It was ok as well and unfortunately I forgot to look into the note pad where, according to another reviewer, one can note what one wants in the salad. The young lady could have pointed it out.... To be honest I didn't look at the note pad! One thing I didn't like, I asked for tap water as I know that many restaurants just serve you tap water in a mineral water bottle but the young lady brought mineral water in a glass, which we had to pay. I wasn't happy about that but then.... as I ordered in English maybe she didn't understand what I meant! They don't like serving tap water here in Zug but then... usually my husband drinks a glass of beer and a glass of wine or half a bottle of wine so what is the problem if I don't want mineral water? It has nothing to do with the money but I never drink mineral water and I really think that they serve you tap water so why should I pay for it? Very annoying! We are people who eat out quite a lot but I appreciate a good service, if not I don't return to a restaurant, no matter how good the food was! That said.... we might just try it in the evening because of the very interesting ambiance!Dear Francisca,Thank you very much for your rating. After taking over the Plaza in August we are in the process of repositioning and redesigning the venue. This will also affect Service and choice of products. Anyhow I promise you we do not use any packet soups and we avoid convenience food wherever possible. I am happy to hear that you like the ambiance and hope to serve you again soon.Michael

Nice new cafe, with a public parking house right underneath. Healthy menu and excellent coffee in an eclectic setting. The eclectic loo complete with chirping birdsong made me smile.
