The restaurant has just been reopened by a new Chef and we read that he had a fairly good reputation.Arrived at 20.00, seated straight away drinks order taken straight away, good.It was past 20.30 by they got around to taking our orders! A good 30 minutes later before we got the starters. Must admit they did serve a amuse Boucher compliment of the chef. The starters were all very good, Then the wait started..... It was after 22.00 when the main course came......it was a long wait, 4 of us had a platter with 3 types of fish al the fish were over cooked but the perch were badly over cooked to a point that you could not eat them.I did make a remark to the chef who offered to re-do the but by then it we had finished and it was getting on, we did not want wait longer just for this. Dessert was ok nothing really special. We will put it down to the fact that they had just opened and there is a few problem of organization in the opening days......We will go back and try again when they are more organized. Would have appreciated that they offer the aero of after dinner drink in view that part of the fish dish could not be eaten, a commercial gets is always good.

Only 30min away from busy Lausanne - and you are already in the quiet countryside of the Jura Vaudois national park. The charming village of Bretonnieres allows for easy walks in the nature, and Auberge de l'Ecusson Vaudois makes a perfect stop for a gourmet lunch in relaxing surroundings. I ate in the garden outside - quite a summer feeling.Staff is limited: Chef Michael acts in the kitchen while his wife Susana is responsible for the service! Thumbs-up for the very good service: energetic, attentive and efficient. The food is equally impressive. The menu is kept short so as to favour fresh seasonal produces. As starter I had a raviole (a kind of flan) de gaspacho filled with ricotta - light and refreshing. The masterpiece was the fillet of beef as main course - a thick yet very tender piece of meat, perfectly grilled rare as I ordered. Unreasonably, I indulged myself in the Coupe 3 Chocolats for dessert: dark, white and nougat chocolate scoops, topped with chantilly and warm chocolate sauce! Obviously quality has its price, and my lunch was expensive (CHF105). However the high quality is definitely well worth it.

Magnificent discovery that restaurant nestled in downtown Echallens, which comprises both the brewery and the other the " The Ambroise " gastro restaurant. The setting of the restaurant is nice, with a penchant for pink. Friendly welcome servers and chef de rang (service or ubiquitous or remote , just what you need to spend a pleasant moment)Our dinner was composed as follows:- Cold melon soup as an appetizer- 1x " liver terrine with asparagus and ham " entry- 1x " Foie gras hot raspberry " entry- 2x main course "Filet of beef with string and virgin spring "- 1x dessert " Symphony cremes "- 1x dessert " Hot- cold chocolate , apricot - vanilla "- 2 martinis- 1 liter of sparkling water- 1 desired Pinot Black Dove '' '' Féchy- 2 cups of coffee sweetsWonderful time of relaxation and fine dining. Each dish was a pleasure for the eye and the palate. For the main course was not a big fan of asparagus, they offered me without complaining replace by "vitelotte" potatoes and balsamic vinegar. Also to emphasize, excellent bread, toasted brioche namely input , then choose between bread poppies, bread plain or garlic bread bears.Still accurate for dessert my guest, the symphony was of composed 6 different cremes ( yes! ) different kinds namely (kiwi, pineapple, prunes, raisinée,apple - cinnamon and finally kind) . Excellent prettiness also with coffee , consisting of mini- tart lemon, pistachio macaroon and chocolate truffles. In summary, delighted to have discovered this restaurant and would go back with the greatest pleasure.Points for improvement: slightly reduced menus (5 entries, 4 main courses, 5 desserts) but fortunately it changes with the seasons.
