A lovely place with great ingredients. Having said that there is a real sense of a place that rests on its laurels - perhaps a place that achieved technical excellence but tries too hard to be classic French. Having eaten and travelled extensively for food I cannot say that it blew me away- good but boring. Service efficient but again totally lacking in warmth that would make it superb. Wine recommendations just ok I think more effort would transform this place - for sure I would give it one star but no where near two which is why my rating is average based on the fact that I would expect so much more from a two star

Unfortunately full menu not available that day as chef was sick. But the owner and apparently family welcomed us and treated us nicely. We had two choices beef steak or horse steak. Pasta for kids. Food quality was good and cooked to perfection. I really liked the attention and family atmosphere. A quiet secluded location in the forest near the river.

Quite a shame really, the location is spectacular and it certainly gives a luxurious first impression, but the food was quite average for the price range and category itâs in. We had waited a bit for our drinks but that was okay because we were happy to be out and about. We had waited a bit fir our food, too but that was okay until in both my and my wifeâs order something was missing. Not really a problem but the food was only luke warm and by the time our side dishes came the food was tepid. Not so bad i guess but the food wasnât really very good, average would be an honest evaluation. We had wanted to get a bottle of wine as well but when a bottle of Dieter Meierâs âPuroâ ( which is a fantastic argentinian Malbec) was on the card for 85chf that stopped us from ordering. We live here and at a local grocery store the bottle is 17chf so i followed my 3x the price rule. I would have gone up to 65 for it but not 5 times their purchase price.Service was amateurish and i felt that it was a mix of students and moderately experienced wait staff. So to sum it up, the restaurant gives the impression of higher end luxury cuisine and charges for it but only delivers average food and service. I recommend you look elsewhere unless youâre in the hotel anyway and just want to eat without taking a walk. A shame, it could be so much nicer with a more experienced chef and service......Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at MP's Bar & Grill. So disappointing. Lovely atmosphere, so much promise but 2 and 3/4 hours for two courses, food was mediocre and sat among dirty dishes for most of the evening. Lovely waitress but no attempt made to address the long wait, poor food or offer of any apology. Really disappointed.

Très Bon!This is what I felt after eating the most tasty and succulent preparation of duck at this restaurant. The accompanying sauce was just delicious. Right from complimentary starters to the main course, everything was perfectly done. Merci Beaucoup for a lovely time. Wishing the owner, a wonderful French couple, great success and happy times ahead.

Fantastic place. Food is made with love and passion and you can taste it. Beautiful view, perfect service...what else?We had a 4 courses menu that came with delicious and inventive "amuse bouche", perfectly cooked fish and meat dishes finishing with a beautiful dessert around apricots...without forgetting the mignardises with the coffee. This may come my favourite restaurant...I definitely need to confirm!

Had a business dinner in the Auberge Communale, service was good and friendly and fast enough. The waiter briefed us on each dish (of which there were 4). Good atmosphere and would recommend for a slightly posher dinner occasion. Nice place, would go again.

We managed to sneak into Ze Fork even though it was a rainy evening during the Fête des Vignerons. On the phone, I was told that there was no space but when we arrived at the restaurant, speculatively, two places were found by negotiating with a couple that had the luxury of four spaces. The food was great and the dessert outstanding. The place is close to Lake Geneva with good views of the promenade.

As you may know, eating out in Switzerland can be quite an expensive venture. Even grabbing a quick lunch can cost upwards of 20CHF per person. VeveyBien is an exception to that experience! Located in the heart is beautiful Vevey and about two blocks from the beautiful shoreline of Lac Leman, this small (only has about 3 tables) establishments serves large and amazing sandwiches for an incredible low price - our delicious Caprese sandwiches were 7 CHF! Had lunch with friends outside on the terrace overlooking lake Geneva. Food and service was good. Selection of wine not very good. The rose wine we wanted they didn't have and were given an inferior Swiss one. The fish we wanted they ran out off .On the whole a food experience. I recommend the place.
