Immer wieder wenn ich Verwandte im Thurgau besuche kommen wir hierher. Jedes Mal werden wir freundlich empfangen, geniessen leckere saisonale und nachhaltige Gerichte und freuen uns an den wechselnden Ausstellungen. Gestern gab es Capuns und den besten gemischten Salat aus verschiedenen Wurzelgemüsen.

and for good reason!In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant offers wonderful hearty classics of Swiss cuisine. We loved the Zurich geschenetzeltes (veal in a superb creamy sauce), the veal and speatzle and those rosti potatoes were the best I've ever had.Service was prompt and friendly.We were told this place has been owned by the same family for several generations, and they run it themselves. It shows: love for waht they do must be one of their secret ingredients.There are lighter options in the menu, i.e. some soup and salad specials.Excellent value for an authentic experience.A must-go if in the area, and well worth a detour as well.

At Thurberg you are well taken care of. Food is lovely and very fresh. From up there you have a nice view over the region and gelati in the garden is top!

Chose to dine here the night before a bicycle race so we were looking for pasta, and we were not disappointed! The pasta is all made fresh on the premises and was delicious. We had a lovely table on the terrace - relaxed atmosphere and excellent service from friendly staff. Seafood salad, pork chop with risotto, and trio of chocolate desserts all excellent too. Would definitely come here again if we get the opportunity. The restaurant is not so big, so I would recommend reserving.

The steps where the Thurgau declaration of independence was declared. The 2nd floor hall where the courts had their session. A fine restaurant with lunchtime set menus at reasonable prices. Excellent quality too..The restaurant setting though looses points with a number of red plastic chairs and sideboards. A misstep into 'modernity'.

I have been several times in the restaurant and was always very happy about the food selection available and also the quality.Further more the service is very friendly and helpful.Now in summer they also have a very nice idyllic garden and I will go there even more.

While traveling with my wife to meet longtime friends in Switzerland we stopped along the way in the town of Weinfelden. We asked a local for a place to dine and they enthusiastically recommend Giusi’s Bistro. We drove by and immediately liked the way that it looked. Upon entering the restaurant we felt very comfortable and were greeted right away by friendly staff. Of course only speaking English it was no problem, they sat us at the best table and treated us like long time guest. The atmosphere and décor are so charming and inviting, we felt so comfortable right from the start. My wife liked the dishes and pottery.We asked what was recommended and asked if the chef would just make what he wanted for us, did mention we wanted pasta. We started with some crostini, meat and local cheese. With a good drink we were happy. The chef sent out two different fresh pasta dishes, we couldn’t decide which was better so we kept trading our plates back and forth.The bistro is run by the most lovey husband and wife team, we knew we made the right choice. The restaurant had a fun vibe with many what appeared to be locals coming in. We struck up several conversation with other guest and staff which made for a very convivial experience. Everyone seem to treat us like royalty. To top things off, the chef sent out a complimentary dessert for us to taste.Needless to say we left warm and happy. If you find yourself in the Canton of Thurgua, make the effort to stop by. We wholeheartedly recommend and our only regret is the place is not near our home.
