Welcome in The Grape - Californian Grill. Enjoy a breeze of California here in Weggis. We spoil you in relaxing ambiance. Whether for lunch, candle-light dinner, enjoyable evening with friends or comfortable get-together with your family: It's always seas
The Grape was a good choice for meeting friends in Weggis. The setup is nice with friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. 4* would be for this setting. The burger I had was not really medium and more cooked than grilled. Sides okay but nothing really outstanding. The amuse-gueule felt like a joke - a few stripes of carot - leave it if you cant do a surprise. My friends seemed to be much happier than I so maybe my critics are a bit harsh but I was probably disappointed that kitchen could not keep up with comfort.

The staff seems to be comprised of 1 professional and 3 students (possibly from a nearby hotel school) Eager to perform, following a learned procedure, rather than good old common sense. There is a world of difference to a seasoned hospitality pro or someone who is simply a hospitality talent and someone who is eager learn but still needs to follow instructions.I did not expect to write something about the staff, because we actually came for the food. The teasers, (greetings from the kitchen) were sensational and raised our expectations. What followed was very disappointing. The lobster bisque was too salty (which is often the case) and the salad with goat cheese was a large portion of not so fresh greens with chunks of goat cheese. The size of the portion was fortunate, because the main course consisted of two small slices of not very tender beef, more or less cold when it arrived. The main course was literally 4 bites of meat. For a hefty price tag of around 60 Swiss Francs.Dessert was fine, nothing spectacular but acceptable. Will not eat there again and will not recommend.Dear ItalianNomad, Thank you very much for your valuable feedback about your recent visit at the restaurant PRISMA. We are sorry to learn that the offered service standards were not what you expected in a Michelin stared restaurant, we apologize, that the salad was not as fresh as it should be according to your and our expectation. Unfortunately we did not have your feedback during the evening about the salty bisque and the cold main course in order to replace it with a new plate. It would be our pleasure welcoming you again to have a new and better experience.Kind regards,Moritz DuerlerDeputy General Manager
