The Adelboden restaurant is well worth the journey as it is some distance from where we stayed. The traditional Swiss atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel very welcome. The freshly baked bread and magnificent dishes prepared by Franz Wiget-Keiser and his team were much appreciated and of course enjoyed. Remember to make a reservation to avoid being disappointed as this is a highly sort after restaurant.

Since years the stubli is an icon. Location, food and ambiance makes me proud to be an Eidgenoss. Weiter so. Die Weinkarte, klein aber fein.

Restaurant Panorama belongs to Swiss Holiday Park Resort and offers a seasonal variety of international specialties as well as homemade burgers. It is open all day.
The main menu has a good range of European, Swiss and other ethnic dishes; there is also an Italian-specialty menu. We tried dishes from both and were very satisfied. A daily three-course menu was reasonably priced and satisfying. There is a children's buffet at breakfast and dinner, and kids up to 15 years eat free.

The restaurant Schwiizerstube is a cozy and lovely decorated place with several rooms, decorated in Alpine Chic. For the interior the designers used antique material from historic buildings such as patrician houses, a monastery or from a castle from all o
While staying at the Swiss Holiday Park, this restaurant is a must with its traditional Swiss feel. The food was good. Not outstanding, but good. Our waitress was certainly not the friendliest or the most attentive but we still had a nice evening.

Kaiserstock is located very remotely in the Riemstalden valley. Most of the food they have on the menu is from the valley and home made. They bake their own bread, have homemade pasta and also the lamb is from the Riemstalden valley. They have a nice terrace with mountain view. My peasant sausage was good and the Rösti were delicious. My orange sabayon and my wife's strawberry dessert were excellent!

Wunderschönes Hotel mit gemütlichen Zimmern und einer währschaften aber abwechslungsreichen Küche. Sie sind bei uns herzlich willkommen.
This is a lovely restaurant on the main street in Brunnen, a stones throw from the lake. The food is consistently good and the waitstaff seem genuinely happy to serve. There is a very good selection of food done in a traditional Swiss manner, and not a bad wine list as well. This is where we go when we go to Brunnen.

I've been to Pluspunkt a couple of times and always enjoyed myself! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the food is always great. They use mainly products and ingredients from closeby farms and producers. Lots of local specialities!

Since October 2012, our kitchen in "Albert" combines surprising creations from regional products and sustainable fisheries every evening into a convincing 4 course half board menu or à la carte. The restaurant was rebuilt in 2012 and equipped with 58,000
Stoos is a small village on a high plateau above Brunnen, good for walks/hikes from late spring to autumn. Skiing in winter with Chairlifts to the Klingenstock and Fronalpstock. It's also possible to do a ridge hike between the 2 peaks which I would like to try one day, but not knowing how narrow the path can get, have to check more. The restaurant at the Seminar hotel has the best food on any mountain within 30km. When one goes walking on Swiss mountains, food at country restaurants tends to be the usual bratwurst, Mac&cheese Swiss style, schnitzel etc. The menu here offers a greater selection, the food is prepared with imagination and beautifully presented. Food is comparable to any smart city restaurant, with added special touches. Like the bottle of award winning Ephesus olive oil they bring with the very fresh bread. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality. They offer a 2 course lunch menu for CHF 23, with dessert it's CHF 28. Our waitress Katrin was professional and super cheerful. Granted the building looks dated from the outside, but they've renovated the interior in a cosy modern style with a few traditional items. Not having stayed here, I can't comment on the spa facilities or rooms. For an outing to a Swiss mountain, followed by a good lunch, I would recommend Stoos and the seminar hotel. It's not a fancy village, but popular with walkers, and the cable car price is 1/2 that of the Rigi.

Hurrah! Usually when visiting mountain-top Swiss villages, one gets the usual fare: schnitzel, rösti, and the ubiquitous sausage and chips. Not here. The owners care deeply about their food and wine and proudly present unusual and perfectly cooked fare, such as hay soup or chilled pancake with berries and beetroot. The children's menu is also a cut above, with home-made chicken nuggets and roasted potatoes. What a treat!
