We had a cup of coffee and a snack in the afternoon and enjoyed both very much. The snack was a baba rhum which really was delicious. However what struck me and the reason we left ASAP were the numerous flies .I have never seen so many flies in a restaurant. We were sitting outside but when I went inside to pay the bill I was surprised to see more flies then outside. Not a good advertising for a hard working and very friendly owner run restaurant which judged by the quality of the dessert we ate , serves good food. A real pity!MonsieurEffectivement notre restaurant est placé au abords du Doubs.que ce jour là la température était de 35 degrés et orageux.les insectes sont vigoureux .en ville avec les mêmes conditions climatiques vous n avez pas d insectes mais la pollution nous sommes à la campagne et que les insectes font partie du biotope. we stayed in the hotel (with room decor somewhat dated but clean and sufficient) one night, dinner was perfect and wine excellent. I tried a local speciality called "Joue de boef", and I can highly recommend it! Breakfast buffet was simple, good and fresh.

The menu unfortunately doesn't match with this rustic friendly place anymore: Fancy (and ethically questionable) stuff such as stuffed goose liver and lots of meat/fish without even mentioning the vegetables or herbs used in a dish. Unfortunately there are no simple dishes such as choucroute with potatoes, polenta with ratatouille/leeks/red cabbage or vegetable platter at all on the menu.On positive note we appreciated the fact, that the kitchen took criticism from customers (to properly cook animal meat or modify a certain dish) seriously and tried to adapt to it. The serving staff was attentive and friendly.

Because it was raining quite badly, we did not want to cycle.too far from the campingsite. This was the closest place for food. We were a bit hesitant, because it was located inside the sports centre, overlooking the ice skate ring. However, the food was absolutely delicious and the waiter was very friendly and helpfull. We shared a salad with local chees and meat, then a steak each. Cooking of the steak was just as we required. Excellent, we have bad experience with this in other resaurants. We think the cheese fondue is also worth trying, we saw it at another table and it smelled great!

Situé au bord du Doubs notre établissement se trouve dans un cadre de verdure. Vous pouvez aussi profitez de notre piste de pétanque. Venez découvrir un endroit paradisiaque.
Our friends took us to lunch at this lovely restaurant by the river. We loved the fresh trout with herb butter and the omelette flambé was extra special. Sitting under the veranda in the rain was great. Friendly service and well priced. Will tell our Aussie mates.Thank you so much for your feedback,Greetings from Goumois.

We ate in their delightfully old-school restaurant, both of us choosing their Saveurs et Decouverte menu at E49.50 (4 courses) or E68 (5 courses). After an amuse-bouche of sardine (beautifully presented but neither of us much likes sardines), we both had the foie gras de canard to start, with a glass of the local vin doux naturel, Macvin (E8 each). Only one of us had the fish course, of cod, then as mains we have the fillet of beef and the veal sweetbreads. The pretty pink sorbet is a nice touch. The lovely, retro cheese trolley at an extra 6 euros is a steal. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse and the confit of rhubarb with strawberries.Half bottles of the local Jura wine, Savagnin white (E19) and Trousseau red (E16), rounded off an excellent meal. By the end of it the restaurant was full, and service was perhaps a tiny bit slow but we didnât really mind, all the food was beautifully presented.

We walked around this beautiful lake and found this restaurant next to the main road with plenty of parking spaces accross the road. It is cosy inside and has a large fire place for the cold season. It took a while for the food to be served but it was good food for such a remote area. They also showed some flexibility when we only wanted part of the days special menue. Prices were Ok for what was served. We can recommend it.Vielen Dank für die nette Bewertung!

Prix corrects. A découvrir si vous passez pas là .

We arrived spontaneously, underdressed yet looking for an elaborate meal. As usual with top gourmet dining, all details are distinctive. Most memorable dishes: the foie gras variations (soup, fried cube and - yes - ice cream), the green grissini, the strawberry soufflé.We really liked that they sell some of their produce to take home. I will pick up some of their delicacies. Both the chef and the hostess came to the table twice, much appreciated.
