Short of time after some last-minute Xmas shopping we went to this rather small sushi bar at the rail station. I am not a real fan of sushis so we tried the cooked offerings (very limited). This was not really a good idea; the udon noodles with chicken lacked umami (maybe OK if that meant no MSG) and the chicken teriyaki was dry (pre cooked?). Sitting space is also limited, but our meals were served quite promptly.

We have eaten here three times. First time food was ok, we ordered a'la carte. Second time food was excellent, we had the buffet. Third time we had the buffet again, appreciating the good value for money but the food was not good at all. We have not been back since.

I went out for dinner to the restaurant 'Le Raisin d'Or'. I already had my doubts, because how can you successfully combine Japanese with Chinese and Thai food in a small place? My doubts were confirmed, the food was greasy, quality questionable and overpriced - I assume the owner must be Chinese looking at the overall style of food and also the 'rip-off' style: we were offered a welcome drink which we accepted, but not for free as it turned out later. I chose a dish and was asked if I'd like to have rice or noodles, I said noodles but it wasn't pointed out that this was another CHF11. This added up so the overall price was far to high in relation to what we got.

This lady is making top quality sushis. Everything about it is convenient: she takes order online or on the phone, you can arrange for a delivery, but most of the time, her little bus is ideally located so just go take your order, and treat yourself.

I've been there with my colleagues at lunch time. We had 3 lunch-menus, and service was really, really fast.Food was good, I would say one of the best Sushi I had in Fribourg, especially considering the price - only 18.- for the menu (entreé, main course, dessert) plus drink.Strongly suggested.

This tiny restaurant has seating for 10 max. We had reserved which turned out to have been a good thing as the rest was taken up by a party of students. In addition they have what seems to be a fairly brisk take-out business. The menu encompasses Appetizers including Gyoza and Seaweed Salad, Sashimi, various Sushi, Udon/Ramen dishes, some Teriyaki and Sukiyaki. We had the Sashimi Mix which was listed to have 15 mixed pieces of various fish. It didn't. It had about 9 pieces of fish, some avocado and a bit of omelette. The Sashimi was very good although some, particularly the salmon was cut far too thickly.Next we chose Uramaki California. I think we were served Uramaki Philadlephia in its place as the sushi had philadlephia cheese incorporated: a first for us and not something we will try again as the texture of philadelphia cheese is alien to all things sushi. We also tried their Bento selection which contains a mixture of Uramaki and Nigiri sushi. Finally we had a Temaki made with Unagi. We drank hot sake. Service was very friendly. The owner/manager is a Japanese lady born in China. She explained that her family is well established in Switzerland and owns a variety of Asian restaurants scattered throughot the country. We enjoyed our visit and will be back.Note: the place is very small, staff are only two so service is not rapid. The take-out business was fairly brisk when we were there and so keeping up with the Sukiyaki party, our needs and take-out severely stretched their abiility to cope. If you enjoy sushi, live in Fribourg, not in a hurry and don't mind being a bit cramped, the place is well worth trying. Their fish is fresh and delivered twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As mentioned it is not error free but gemütlich. Finally the price is right.
