An exceptional Japanese specialty restaurant located slightly outside of Bern. An inspiring and minimalistic design, which manages to convey warmth; an absolutely irreproachable menu and service - this is a rare find, and a dignified successor to the regretted Kabuki at Markthalle. The sake selection to accompany the menu is particularly good. Prices, while high, are not astronomical, and well worth the experience.

The sushi was delicious and the staff very friendly. Consider this as viviable alternative to the other sushi restaurants in town. Will visit this place again.

Walking into Azzurro, you feel that you must have come here in another life because you're greeted with warmth and sincerity offered only to dear friends. Plus, the food did not disappoint!! Whatever you order you can be assured that it will be fresh, tasty, and perfectly prepared. While here for a business lunch, I felt like I wanted to order a bottle of wine and just keep eating all the way through dinner. Definitely a place that is a Must Go!

The shopping area in which this restaurant is located has little going for it. Like the rest of the complex, it has a functional, expensive, but rather sterile atmosphere. However, the restaurant, in spite of its icy black and metal décor, is friendly and serves really good food. To open you get two small pieces of bruschetta with tomato and basil. Tasty and simple. The menu has various meat, fish, and pasta dishes -- the accent is Mediterranean. There's a also a very good fish soup served on croute. On both of my visits (we were staying at an apartment about 100 metres away) I had pasta, which was fresh, the correct texture, and extremely appetising. The coffee was fine and the waitress charming. Moreover, she remember our first visit down to our fondness for spicy food.I think this restaurant is in danger of obscurity due to its location, but Bern is not so well served by restaurants as other parts of the country, so I really hope it survives. It's a good deal better than the mediocre hotel restaurant nearby that locals seems to flock to (Sternen).
