It was a cool summer evening, we decided to eat inside instead of on the cobbled street just outside the hotel. Decided against the fondue, which some others seemed to be enjoying. Salad with mountain cheese and escargots for starters, brilliant. The cheese is special. Mains of steak and fish, both done perfectly. Lastly dessert to share, of summer berries with cream, rounded the meal off very nicely. Have no hesitation is recommending this restaurant and would definitely return on our next stay in Gstaad.

Great evening with my daughter for dinner.Lovely rustic dining room.Went for the game menu.I wouldn't say this is the biggest piece of game I've eaten but it was a magnificent plate.All the ingredients were there.The cabbage/chestnuts/cooked apple/cranberry and cream sauce and some of the best spaetzlis I have ever eaten.Obviously homemade.All washed down with a lovely Valais Syrah.Excellent service.The owner is omnipresent.If only all places in Switzerland were like this I would never go abroad..!!!Will be back.

There is some confusion with the two hotels.One hotel is in Saanenmoeser and one is on top of the Hornberg called Berghotel.The first one is a brilliant hotel cum restaurant with lovely food and great service.Views are to die for.The second is an average hotel with average food and not worth the visit unless you are hiking in the region.

We stayed there already more than 5 times. I always got my room I wanted. Really nice family (Henzen) who is handeling the restaurant. Very friendly people. Good restaurant. And it is in a death end valley. So it is really in the midle of the nature. Better than Lenkerhof!!! The menue is really big and the food is fresh and in a very good quality. The restaurant has a very nice athmosphery. I always feel home. The wine menue is quite big.

The right place for juicy beef at a decent price served with fried potato wedges, different steak sauces and somewhat exotic trimmings (slices of melon). The sirloin steak (entrecote, the way Swiss butchers trim it, without fat) can be ordered in variable sizes, up to one pounders (400 grs). It is served only rare, on a hot piece of slate. So if it is too 'bloody' for you, just cut off your serving and leave it on the hot stone to cook it to your liking. It is a popular roadside inn, nothing fancy, with people from all walks of life, from truck drivers to hedge fund managers. They have plenty other hearty fare and daily specials at very reasonable prices. Found this restaurant as we were walking around Zweisimmen, it is not too far from the train station. It is on a pretty tree lined street filled with shops. They have a small terrace outside and the restaurant has two levels inside, We sat on the terrace since it was such nice weather. We had Sunday lunch here, they had a choice of two specials of the day, which we liked the look of so we didn't bother with the menu. They do have a very good menu with lots of choice of salad, sandwiches or hot meals. The special were CHF 18.00 each which for Switzerland is average, it included a starter of soup or salad. My husband chose the Curry soup and I chose the salad. Both well made. My salad came decorated with a few edible flowers which was a nice touch and a french dressing. For the entree we had Pork Schnitzel with pasta shells and mediterranean vegetables. It had a light wine sauce, everything was nicely seasoned and the pasta shells were buttered. Overall an excellent meal for the price. My husband had Beer and I had a soft drink. It is actually cheaper to have a beer so I will remember that for next time ! They had wine also. There were a number of people eating there some locals as well as tourists like ourselves. The staff are very polite and helpful. After we had coffees and a Toblerone Mousse dessert which was very nicely presented with a dish of vanilla icecream on the side as well as a cube of fudge and some almonds that had a sweet crunchy coating topped with a physalis fruit. Loved it. The Desserts were quite expensive but there were lots of other options which might have been cheaper. Quite a few people seemed to be enjoying their tarts. All in all I recommend.

After a long climb up the mountain from Lenk to Buhlberg, it was a treat to arrive at this restaurant. Good service, good food, a cold drink and a stunning view. What else do you need? We went there based on the reviews by Tripadvisior and were certainly pleased with our overall experience. All the fish were fresh, yummy and nicely presented. The salads were tasty. The restaurant setting was quite cute on the edge of a tiny lake. Our server Tommy was extremely nice, cheerful and helpful. The flies were in abundance and were very irritating but I guess there was very little the restaurant could do about it. It seemed that the other customers who were probably locals were used to them and were not overly bothered by them.The reason I took away one star was because they charged us extra on a few things .. the fries came with a couple of dishes as sides but they still charged us $9 and $6 for 2 portions. They charged us $6 for a side salad which again was supposed to be a side dish. They charged us a bit extra for drinks and then charged us $4 each for 4 glasses of hot tap water at the end of our dinner. We were also charged for drinking tap water which came in the beginning of our dinner. In most of the restaurants in Switzerland they donât charge you for tap water as long as you are ordering regular drinks. A bill which should have been around Fr 630 came to Fr 682. I questioned the server but did not get a satisfactory reply so I paid the 682 Fr as I did not want to spoil our otherwise wonderful dinner evening. All in all a good restaurant.

Beautiful Restaurant with absolutely excellent food. The Ambiance is great and reservations for dinner are recomended.The owner (Mr. Glatz), a great Chef and Artist (scissor cuts) organizes different exhibitions troughout the year and the exhibits are shown in the restaurant and can often be purchased there as well.

The idea of mixing the 4x4 propositions of plates in a way that suits your envies best is a very nice idea. Thus I skipped soup, but I had several deserts . Sophisticated cuisine.
