Food was yummy, but the (way too many) staff were very uncoordinated, slow and we had to wait far too long we were served. The apprentice did a great job but all the senior staff in suits didnât do anything. Prices were pretty expensive, especially considering what you get for what you get.Good location and good food, but lots to improve in order to become a quality adress.

One of the most romantic restaurants in the lake of thun region. Take a boat or the train from Interlaken to Thun, walk over the wooden bridge at the river to the lake - there you'll find our Restaurant. In the daily actual website you find everything abou
We waited a long time to get service, and there was nobody else except us. After 45 minutes, we finally got the menu, ordered our food. A group of 40 Swiss came from the opposite side hotel (where we were) and sat down, they didn't get any service either. They sat, talked for about 20 minutes, then they all got up and left. We waited for awhile for our food to arrive, after about an hour, we got up and left too. Maybe the chef got on the boat and sailed away.Dear SirThat was not in our restaurant. At the date of your visit, we have had an event an we were fully booked. Every seat was previously booked and we were 5 people working front of house. There is also no hotel opposite of our restaurant.I ask you friendly to delete your comment. We are very sorry you had a bad restaurant experience. Try our restaurant the next time. Hope you will be happy at our place.Thank you!Simon

Imagine being able to arrive at your hotel/restaurant across the lake. Restaurant and Strandhotel Seeblick is within a hundred meters of the ferry stop at Faulensee. The lake views are amazing, so is the food. This place has a long legacy of family values that have been transferred to the new owners. Its a great place to eat and a great place to stay.

I had a lovely evening with my family (3people) the service was excellent and very attentive, which is important for me. The food was simply delicious and the main course was served by the chef himself! They had no problem with a little extra wish, like some extra sides. Further the stuff was very friendly and natural, it gives you just such a cozy feeling. The ambience complements these feelings as well, even though it is modern it remains warm and nice. I can truly recommend the Austrian kitchen. The pictures shows the "Kalbshaxe with gratin" (very good!)

After a hiking afternoon I stopped for dinner in Sigriswil - a picturesque village boasting fantastic views over the Thunersee Lake. The restaurant is comprising of a large terrace and an impressive dining room. Lots of waiters/waitresses, therefore ensuring quick and seamless service. A special thanks goes to Nadja for her efficient and utmost friendly service. The menu is Swiss traditional with focus on local produce and suppliers. I started with the smoked trout fillet - light and tasty, served with a small salad. As main course I chose the pan-fried whitefish ("Felchen") coming from the Thunersee: generous and delicious portion, fish was perfectly prepared. I ended the meal with a seasonal dessert: Coupe Romanoff (fresh strawberries with vanilla ice cream) - truly gargantuesque portion! On the downside:1. Most prices are fair. However the starter costs CHF21.50, which I find really expensive. CHF15-18 would have been more reasonable.2. Despite having booked a table in advance I got seated directly at the entrance and near the kitchen. Therefore I had to endure staff and incoming guests frequently passing behind. Not really enjoyable! In high-price Switzerland the bill amounted to CHF87. Despite the small imperfections mentioned above, my overall impression remains good.

stumbled on this place following a drive, the lakeside park and views are simply magnificent. the schloss was closed (winter) but the restaurant was not. we sat outside (some with blankets) and had the fixed price menu option - beautifully prepared and presented, freshly made from good fresh ingredients. The staff were really helpful. the view from inside across the lake was spectacular - so a good option to dine in as well!

This classically elegant Art Nouveau restaurant celebrates sophisticated hospitality. Whether it is a stylish lunch in an elegant atmosphere or a romantic evening dinner by candlelight â the Belle Epoque is the restaurant for dining in style at Hotel Eden
We stopped here a few days ago for a cup of coffee. The coffee was the best we found in Switzerland but not as good as home (Australia)...but we didn't go the Switzerland for coffee. The waitress, suggested if we wanted something special that the cakes were excellent and the cherry cake was the most popular. We shared one (it was close to dinner time elsewhere) and it was indeed sensational, and I'd highly recommend trying it. The atmosphere at Belle Epoque was warm and interesting.

There's probably hard to find anymore touristy restaurant in Spiez. That said, for being what would typically be a real tourist trap it certainly exceeds expectations. Service is somewhat slow and the waiters are not that knowledgeable, as you would expect for a normal tourist trap, however the food and the atmosphere are actually good!I started with a beer (the standard one they have in spiez, which is a quite boring beer) and the Mozarrela and tomato entrance. This is hard to fail with and it was also quite good. For main I had their giant, spicy prawns which turned out to be the hit of the night. Certainly recommended if you like spicy food! To it I had a glas of rather good rosé.To wrap up I had their assortion of cheeses (I would have liked some kind of presentation of them and I would replace the sliced apples with pears) with a glas of port wine. The waiter had no idea of what ports they had, but it was a rather lack luster tawney. All cheeses where good though. If you're to choose a tourist trap this is certainly recommended. Dear JanB420 customer, thank you very much for your feedback. We are a restaurant that we try to do everything for our customers !! What I do not agree with is that we are a trap and we are not because 90% of our customers are Swiss of course the tourists they are welcome as well !!! Thanks for your visit!! greetings Vitor Silva
