After numerous stays in Switzerland I have come to trust the Swiss ââFischelinââ guide when looking for fish restaurants with nice food and pleasant atmosphere. Seeblick is a large restaurant offering very fresh fish in cozy and relaxed surroundings. Tables by the window have beautiful views over the lake. The service tells two tales. On the one hand all the staff is smiling and friendly. But on the other hand, the service was excruciatingly slow: the whole dinner took 2.5 hours!! I appreciate the restaurant being almost full that evening, but the waiting time was still unreasonable. On a positive note I really enjoyed the food - both in quality and quantity. The menu puts focus on seasonal produce and fish from the lake. As starter I chose the asparagus salad with tomato vinaigrette: tasty and generous portion. As main course I had the Chef suggestion: trilogy of fish (whitefish, perch, pike perch) served with asparagus and mousseline sauce. Perfectly prepared, good and generous portion. As sweet I indulged myself with a delicious mousse au chocolat. On the downside Switzerland has always had a high price structure, and Seeblick is no exception. The bill amounted to CHF89 - I consider it as slightly pricey, due to the excellent food being let down by a very slow service.

The ambiance was quite nice, Very informal & laid back. However would have preferred if they had few smaller tables. All the tables were shared tables with other customers, bit cafeteria style. The food was okay I would say, the flavors were bit missing. There was no WOW factor. Iâm not sure everything is locally produced in Bienne, some of them would do.The waitress who served us was really nice, she was friendly and kind. When we got the bill we were surprised to see 1L of tap water cost 9CHF. That was a bit of a rip off. This is a nice place if you like to have an after work apero with some small bites.Dear TjK-CHThank you very much for this comment. First of all we combine LOKAL products with different stiles/products from other cuisines, that means it is of course not everything produced in Biel. They call it fusion.Water situation: check https://wfw.ch, we spend 10% of water income. Furthermore is our water à discretion (even sparkling...), that means you can drink as much water as you want, for CHF 3.30 (rip off?). I can't follow your mathematics skills that the water was expensiver than alcohol.

With local trains running every 30min from Biel, the small village of Sutz is a very convenient start point for easy and scenic walks along the shore of Lake Biel.Anker is a well-established, family-run Gasthof a few steps from Sutz train stop. It combines traditional Swiss food and genuine hospitality. The dining room is intimate and "gemütlich" - needless to say: everything's spotlessly clean. As starter I chose a seasonal specialty: lamb's lettuce with sautéed veal liver. Simple and tasty. This was followed by fish from the nearby lake: poached pike perch fillets in a thyme sauce. The portion was really generous and the sauce truly to die for! As dessert I had a homemade Vacherin Glacé - refreshing and delicious.Despite the proximity of Biel, the bill remains surprisingly moderate: CHF82 for my entire lunch with wine and coffee. A special mention to the good choice of wine - the Pinot Blanc was excellent.

Really enjoyed the "Eglifilets à la meunière" although they were coming from abroad (which is just because of the season for local fish was already over). Service was attentive, suggest local white wine was simply amazing ....

We took our friend from London for dinner to Peroquet Vert as we were looking for something nice and pretty and different in our local Neuchatel and nothing matched the criteria. It was definitely worth the drive and we ended up spending delightful 4 hours in this delicious and friendly restaurant. All the food we had was wonderful, simple and delicious! Nothing really fancy here, but all that is offered is great quality. The service is exceptional, all areas of the restaurant are wonderfully clean, really nothing to complain about. It is no cheap, but cheap restaurants do not really exist in Switzerland so all good! Go and enjoy one of the best places to eat in this part of Switzerland!

We had front row seats to a thunderous summer rain storm. Sat under umbrellas, with a few other adventurous diners, on a dry patio, enjoying tasty food, amazing sights of the bridge and nature, the calming sound and smell of the rain made for a very memorable evening. The hosts are friendly and professional and definitely ensured we enjoyed our evening. The food is fresh and tasty and good value.

A quaint little cafe within Hotel Weisses Kreuz that provides meal and beverages for hotel guests and others wishing to spend a lazy morning/afternoon reading newspapers. Convenient, fast service but more staff would be good at peak hours as getting staff attention can be quite a challenge. Otherwise, good food and sufficiently adequate. My favourite was sitting by the window.

Good:Location, the township of Aarberg is worthwhile every visit, and this restaurant lies directly at the beautiful market place. In Summer you find a nice place outside.Meals, I had the 'Mittagstisch' and got a delicious dish, prepared in a creative, tasty style. Typical Swiss kitchen served a modern way. A compliment to the cook!Service was friendly and professional. For this kind of excellent meal, the pricing was decent (as decent Swiss restaurant prices can be).Ok:It was noisy on the market place. Someone steam-cleaned the neighbor restaurant during a Saturday afternoon, compromising my enjoyment - most likely a unique action. To be improved:Nothing of relevance

Great place, we go there every once in a while as we live close by. Undisputedly the best restaurant in Lyss, so at times it's hard to get a table, particularly when you cannot sit outdoors. Hardernpintli is very nice-priced cozy place, the service is always friendly, the food is great, their daily specials take you by surprise. That's how an excellent restaurant ought to be!
