Found this hotel/restaurant by accident on a hike and returned in the evening for dinner. The patio has a terrific view of the Murtensee and, if clear, the distant Alps. We had drinks on the patio and then moved inside to eat. [There are actually two restaurants- one bistro-like and the other more formal. They share much of the same menu but you can also get fondue in the bistro.] Our meal was creatively prepared and excellent. Local wine added to our enjoyment of the evening.

We've been eating here off and on for at least 10 years and what started out as a good restaurant is just getting better and better. Eating in the ground floor bistro has become as memorable as meals in the gourmet dining area on the first floor. Opting for the CHF 75, three-course menu (plus palate-clearing pink grapefruit sorbet between fish and meat courses) we had a magnificent meal. A first course of turbot served on a bed of absinthe-flavoured fennel and topped with a delicate layer of crispy-crunchy roesti potatoes; a main course of sublime juicy, flavourful filet of beef teamed with diced truffles from the region and vegetables (the beetroot with raspberry vinegar and raspberries being particularly noteworthy) and a trio of desserts, each of them delectable. Local Vully wines are well represented in a wine list that also ventures as far afield as Russia's Black Sea coast and the New World. The service in the informal and friendly bistro is impeccable.

The restaurant De l'Ours gets a Bib Gourmand from Michelin and we dined there is mid-May 2013. The dining room is pleasant, the services was good and the food very good - fresh, seasonal produce nicely prepared and fairly reasonable in price (this is Switzerland). Good wine list.

We would never knew about this place if not for our Swiss friends. Hidden away in the vineyards above the Lake Biel (Lac de Bienne), this small family run restaurant enjoys a unique setting overlooking the lake and St. Peter's Island. Simple but tasty food, filets de féra meunière (whitefish from the lake) are absolutely delicious. Enjoy your meal on the terrace while watching sunset, the views are magnificent.

Really "auf dem Land" outside Neuchatel. Wouldn't have thought it could have more than the perfunctory small restaurant fare, but we were very well pleased with the quality and presentation. Really top notch. We happened to hit a very quiet night, but apparently this is a very busy venue, and with good reason. The kitchen put together a couple specials, since we were one vegetarian and one meat lover. Not an extensive wine list, but adequate. A very pleasant meal in a roadside locale.

This is an unassuming village restaurant, but its attention to detail and the quality produce used have made it regionally quite well known and brought about the award of 13 out of 20 on the Gault-Millaut scale. They work mainly with local produce and fish from the nearby lake, some dishes are traditional and some are quite up to date. The "filet de perche" or "Eglifilets" baked in a batter and served with tartar sauce are a swiss classic and I have naver been surved such a light, classy, tasty version. The wine selection is excellent, with many quality local bottles at reasonable prices. A really good place for a family sunday lunch, for example. The 90 minutes drive from Geneva or 30 minutes from Bern are easily worthwhile, especially if combined with a hike in a magnificient part of Switzerland.

On a hot summer day I stopped there for a coffee break. The restaurant is conveniently located near the harbour and a 10-minute walk from Erlach bus station. The terrace is nice. However food and service are quite average. The Coupe Hechtebucht ice-cream was generous in quantity but rather tasteless. The waiter was friendly. But as I mentioned that he had forgotten the coffee on the bill, he just added the amount orally - but WITHOUT issuing a new cashier receipt. A bit "strange".

I booked the night before and when we arrived were shown to the terrace in the sunshine. The service was friendly and caring. We had bread with mushrooms in olive oil which was good. Then very fresh salads and followed with the Italian lemon chicken with spinach and saffron rice. The chicken was ten out of ten !A few problems seemed to be happening with another large table with slow service but my guess was the customers were too fussy !We will go again happily.
