Wonderful comfy rooms, beautifully decorated. We staying in the new wing so I can't speak for the rooms in the original part of the hotel, but I am sure they must be equally nice. Fantastic food and the nicest hosts you could ever wish for. We have already booked to go back!

I eat here at least twice a year and am never disappointed. The ambience is elegant but not stuffy, the atmosphere very friendly, and the food always scrumptious. In the autumn their game menu is unsurpassed. My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary there, precisely because of the restaurant's intimate elegance. We both had venison, accompanied by many delicious vegetables. I had the Rehschnitzel "Waldfee" and my husband the venison entrecote. For an appetizer we both had the trio of Mostbröckli (Appenzeller cured beef), pumpkin soup, and paté with preiselbeeren sauce. We chose a Portuguese wine called Meruge, which we loved. A memorable dinner indeed!

Das beliebte Ausflugsziel mit Trottinett-Verleih war an diesem Sonntag sehr voll. Trotzdem war die Bedienung sehr schnell und freundlich. Das Menü âChässchoppeâ war eine gute Wahl und hat gemundet. Als kleinen Verbesserungsvorschlag gebe ich nur die Fliegenplage mit!Das mein Vater dann noch den Berg runter chauffiert wurde war ein i-Tüpfelchen; herzlichen Dank!
