We had dinner with some collegues; we ordered the "BIO"-meat which looked like industry-made meat and it tasted like that. Price was quite high for a "Fitnessteller" - 27 CHF for two pieces of meat and some salad with industry sauce. Service was very slow and not friendly at all, got some "bad looks" after we wanted to order beer after 10pm (it was a nice summer evening). Not recommendableUnser Bio/KAGfreiland-Fleisch ist zertifiziert und die Salatsauce ist immer hausgemacht. Für was an diesem Sommerabend am 29. Juli 2018 Seitens Service allenfalls nicht gut lief, entschuldigen wir uns.

Great service, great wild game dishes variety, reasonably priced when compared with other Switzerland restaurant prices. Superb service. Hotel layout a bit cramped, they do get quite a crowd after 9pm with a cozy, local bar in the premises.

A friend of mine invited me to the Gupf 2 years ago and now I have been each visit back to eastern Switzerland also back to the Gupf for a very memorable meal. The setting, view, service and food are all perfect and I cannot wait to go back there in summer for a dinner with overnight stay.
Wieder einmal haben wir eine Perle entdeckt die sich nicht zu verstecken muss... Der Gruss aus der Küche, die Tagesempfehlung Rindstartar, das mega Cordonbleu alles vom Feinsten. Auch die Gastfreundschaft wird ausserordentlich hoch gehalten. Zuletzt möchte ich noch die stilvolle und gemütliche Ambiente hervorheben. Prädikat sehr empfehlenswert!

We were invited in this Resturant by our swiss friend, the foods were absolutely great, the view was stunning and the service was very good. Steak and their special chicken were delicious but they didn't have English menu but it was Highly recommended.

We have been invited to stay at the Gupf for one night including aperitif, dinner and Monday Morning Breakfast (closed on Monday). Excellent food, best in class service with and a vine list that struck you. Vine cellar is breathtaking and a paradise for all vine lovers. And what is good food and superb vine without a good service? Would be nothing and this was the point of excellent... best in class service! Congrats!

Staff was friendly and helpful!Unfortunately the food was pretty tasteless, not really seasoned and disappointingly "usual"!As we mentioned this to the waiter, they explained that this was done purposely so the actual food could be tasted. I could have that at home if I wanted to - much cheaper!
