Donât be put off by the unprepossessing frontage - there are many flashier looking restaurants just round the corner - but this back street place serves superb seafood. The calamari, anchovies and prawns were all top notch, and the arroz con marisco went down well too. Friendly service too. Highly recommended.

Don't waste your time here! Go to el Cazurro 20m away for a much better experience. The food was tasteless and greasy - the rabas had onions in (??), and the croquettas tasted of nothing. The service was even worse. We waited 15 minutes after attracting the attention of a waitress several times to put in an order. We wanted to order 4 raciones, but we're told the plates were very big, so we would only need 3. This was a mistake, as they came out smaller than most other places. Our drinks order of 4 soft drinks came out wrong 3 times, completely unbelievable! We weren't given any cutlery, and the bread we asked for never appeared. The staff didn't have a clue what was going on, and it didn't even seem that busy.I would have given it 0 if I could, the only redeeming feature was the view. Don't waste your time or money here, go to el Cazurro instead!

Our trip to Spain is drawing to an end and we have continued our search for the perfect lunch!!!We ate here today: a little bit difficult to find if your expectation is Santander, its on the outskirts in a little village. The venue is lovely, typically Spanish and typical of this area. The lady who served us was welcoming and friendly, it was quiet when arrived at 2pm but was packed as the afternoon wore on. The food was fabulous: we had jamon and cheese croquettas, a delicious fish pudin( similar to a seafood terrine served with toast), I had red sea bass, he had beef steak, we shared a delicious bottle of wine, water and dessert, we had coffee to finish, the cost was 80Euros and excellent value, we highly recommend.

La Solita is a new Restaurant located within the Marina of Suances, in front of the Ribera beach. La Solita offers two spacious dining rooms where you can taste a wide variety of dishes of our contemporary regional cuisine while enjoying stunning views of
We had lunch at this beautiful Restaurant, we came across it by chance visiting the area . Its 16 km from Santander and it is well worth the visit. Menu of the day was 3 course but the first 2 courses were adequate for us . Food was excellent and the price 12 euros a head and that included wine. The facilities were spotlessly clean and so was the toilets ( always a good tell tale of owners standards )

It's one of those very small places that have lots of locals outside eating and drinking and make you wonder why. The reason is simple: it's cheap and the food is excellent. It even appeared on a Spanish national TV programe on Spanish tapas in Cantabria. Try it and you won't feel a foreigner!

I was at El Marinero with my family in August. The place is on the beach, so it hasn't a sophisticated atmosphere, but the food is good and the staff is very friendly. They can speak only Spanish, but they try to communicate very hard. I ate Sardine and I recommend it.

Suances has great restaurants, in my humble opinion, the cuisine seafood oriented is recommended for those who love this kind of food; Amita is distinguished by the level of service, theprofessionalism of the staff, the refinement of the food, and the accuracy in the presentation of the dishes, and the quality and quantity of food. To complete the judgment I guarantee that you will pay a fair price and you will go away with great satisfaction.

Came across this restaurant whilst travelling around on our motorbikes. We stopped for lunch as the place seemed to be buzzing! We were not disappointed. I chose Hake and Clams and my friend Iberian pork. Both dishes were freshly cooked, delivered piping hot to the table and tasted amazing! We washed the food down with a substantial beer (abbey type ale) served cold. To finish though frankly we could have stopped there we had a lovely pudding of creme caramel with ice cream and berries that aside from tasting delicious looked like a picture on a plate. Finally two coffees ended the meal. The staff were great, very friendly, honest and professional. Whilst not necessarily the cheapest around, the high quality of the food and outstanding level of service by far outweighs the cost. I would therefore strongly recommend this restaurant and will return. Thank you La Darsena for making lunch a meal to remember!

We have been here for a lunch during a break from the beach. This place is very simple inside and offer a small terrace outside with around 7/8 tables.Service was friendly, careful and fast. They offer different dish compositions and menu (the menu of the day was not in the one provided but you need to ask if you go for it).We had a menu composition including starter, main dish, bottle of wine, dessert and coffee for 26⬠each person. We had very good prawns in a garlic sauce and zamburriñas to start, further we had lubina and sapito cooked in the oven.Everything was fresh and nice.I can suggest this place.
