We had dinner at this restaurant, which fully deserves its ranking. The location is quite central, public parking is available nearby (Plaza Numancia). The restaurant has a sober and very tasteful decoration in white and blue tones. The welcoming of the staff and the eagerness of the waiter to explain the whole menu card (there is no english version available) was overwhelming. The food was excellent (warm salad and cold partridge for starters, sirloin with foie gras and roasted pigeon for mains). Appetizers and a glass of Rioja were offered. We wish we could come again...

No disrespect to the other amazing eateries in Loredo (of which there are many) but these guys are the best in town. The set meals were always incredible quality and value. Staff are really friendly and helpful, speaking Spanglish when needed! We have great memories of long, slow meals sitting outside with a cold beer and taking in the atmosphere. Just don't leave without trying the croquettes and the cheesecake!

Excellent Italian Bistro restaurant. The food is all locally sourced and organic as is the wine. The portions were huge and the staff charming, explaining everything about the food. I had pasta with a gorgonzola and champagne sauce whilst my wife had the spaghetti with clams. Both dishes were outstanding. We were recommended a young wine made in the area which was excellent. The price of the meal was very reasonable considering the quality of the food and wine. Our new favorite restaurant in Cantabria.

We had three nights staying at a nearby chambre d'hote and we ate at Bar Magnolia twice and went for a drink on another occasion. The service was great, the food was lovely and there was a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, our Spanish is not good, but the owner and staff were very welcoming and helpful in explaining some if the different dishes.

Just got off the boat at Santander and walked into Somo 3 hours later when we got to our Casa, this is the first place we went for dinner that evening, got there about 8pm , what we didn't realize then is that the locals don't normally eat out until 9.30 pm onward, so we were accommodated, but it was a bit haphazard and rushed, and we weren't sure what we had ordered, as it turned out, the meal was ok, and the service was ok, but it would probably have been better had we booked and got there later,

The Seafood Platters are large and with many different seafood and meats plus onions, fries, and peppers. Great Oliole Garlicsauces and oven lamb chops. Wines are from all areas and the deserts are homemade. Service is friendly and the owner interfaces with the clients. Highly recommend when you are in SOMO, Cantabria.

My family and I had dinner at this restaurant last night. We didn't have a booking but luckily we went at 8:20pm which meant that as long as we were done by 10pm we could eat. I recommend making a reservation if you can to avoid waiting or being turned away. Excellent food and lovely setting in the restaurant. Don't miss it! We would love to go back!

Welcome to El Galeon de Somo a seafood restaurant to enjoy the food and cuisine of Cantabria. We are located as you can see in a spectacular setting in northern Spain. A 80 m from the beach of Somo in a municipality Ribamontan Ocean east of the Bay of San
The food - some rabas (squid), and a bonito (a sort of tuna) salad, was average at its best. The price we paid for them - 32 EUROS, incredibly expensive, including a cup of average red wine and a Coca Cola, considering the quality of the food. And the service was simply appalling. Rather than welcoming, we felt like if we were a nuisance, a bother for the waitress, who treated us as if she was doing us a favour. She even forgot the salad and the wine, and after being left somewhere for almost five minutes (we could see them from our table), someone else from the staff had to tell her that they had been waiting for too long.

We stopped for a quick drink and a pincho before jumping on the boat. The gentleman was lovely and welcoming and we sat on the terrace in the glorious. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed. We asked if we could eat something and he said the kitchen was closed but he could do us some snacks. He offered some french blue cheese and jamon, we said yes. He brought us something of a carpaccio of jamon and a basket of bread. Due to the time he took preparing (totally understandable) we didn't have long before the boat was due to leave so I went inside to pay. I was shocked and disappointed to find the jamon was â¬18.50. We felt like we had been taken a little advantage of, although perhaps we should have asked the price before ordering. A lesson learnt.

Cozy fishermenâs restaurant, where fish and seafood are main protagonists and where delicious meats can also be tasted. We have a dining room for 30 people and two terraces equipped for dining which allow space for further 30 people, plus a service bar. I
I have been in Santander a few weeks ago and came across this lovely restaurant. It is a fisherman kind of place. Fresh fish among other delicacies. We went for appetizers like Spaniards do and ended up coming back for lunch another day because it felt we needed to explore the cuisine a bit more. Love this restaurant. I cannot wait to go back to Santander and visit again.Thank you very much for your comment. We like to deserve that opinion. We will be happy to see you again the next time you visit Santander.Receive a cordial greeting.
