This is an old school local diner with a well-deserved reputation for incredible breakfast food. They have a special east day for a very reasonable price. This is not a "trendy" place. It is a real grub place. Today I had a two egg breakfast with country ham & French toast on the side. I was pretty hungry. Everything was old style amazing. Coffee is good. Coke products also. No alcohol. The restaurant is surrounded by a rundown closed motel with broken out windows & graffiti. Not the most inviting spot. But locals look past this and the dining room and decor that hasn't been updated...well probably ever. The food is the draw. That and the desire to support a traditional locally owned restaurant with roots deep in the community. Don't let the surroundings intimidate you. Come on in & enjoy some good food.

Locally owned cafe serving up delicious breakfast and lunch alternatives to fast food. Freshly baked pastries and specialty coffee choices abound.
We had lunch at Rejavanation yesterday and enjoyed it. Service was warm and very friendly. The food was good, not sure it's worthy of five stars. I had the Jive Turkey panini, good but a little messy. Next time I would try something else. As the restaurant menu says, Rejavanation cafe is a fresh and delicious alternative to fast food. We'll be back.

An Asheville favorite since 2003, Sunny Point Café serves award-winning upscale comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Craft cocktails, beers and wines are available to enjoy with meals. Sunny Point Café is a family-owned and operated West Asheville restaurant featuring a covered, outdoor dining area and an on-site production garden providing fresh produce just steps from the kitchen. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Reservations accepted for dinner only.
Loved the fun, vibrant, friendly atmosphere. Only a 15 min wait around 2:30pm on a Friday. Bakery items and fresh coffee were available while we waited in a garden like waiting area. Everything we had was delicious, flavorful and fresh...heuveros rancheros, omelette, bacon (is a must!), carrot hoecake and angel biscuit (tastes like a cross between a biscuit and a roll). Waiter, Jared, was quick, helpful and provided just the right amount of service. Small restaurant with close seating, which adds to the fun atmosphere. If no parking in small lot beside cafe, park at Ingles grocery up the street to avoid getting towed. Fun little garden on backside of restaurant to walk through. We will definitely bring our family and friends back when we visit Asheville again.

Always have pretty good decent foods and make my Subs just the way that I like like going to the subway and as well as many others around town

We went a few days after Christmas and they were out of everything except pulled pork, some sides and smoked chicken salad. The pork was very good and the Mac and cheese was too. Would have liked more choices, think the holiday affected their deliveries. Staff was friendly.

I hadn't had Little Caesars in about 20 years. We had truly forgotten how bad it was. The chain's ingredients, methodology of making a pizza and staff come together to make about THE worst pizza we've had. This Candler store manages to make it even worse. I think that sums it up pretty well. We ate less than one piece each, threw the rest in the trash and ate something else.
I'm embarassed to say I even ate here.

Location is somewhat off the beating path of the downtown Asheville area in a grocery shopping mall. The food was very good. I also had a Margarita and it was terrible. I am a margarita connoisseur and i'm not sure what type of mix they're using, but they need to improve in this department. The service was great! They have live music on Friday and Saturday.

Prices are higher than I expected! I was under the false impression that truck stop restaurants were reasonably priced! Food portions were average, simple menu. Most meals are $12 as an average. Server was extremely nice ?

Drive along this 1950's looking stretch of highway west of Asheville, and there you'll find the Hot Dog King. Not sure about the "King" part because these are your standard little pink doggies in supermarket quality buns. As a matter of fact, the buns were a bit crusty, as if they were toasted at some point but cooled off. Sure, you can get the variations you'd expect: plain, cheese, chili, slaw, kraut, foot-long, etc. Sides are also pretty much what you'd expect from a roadside place in the mid-south -- fries, onion rings, fried okra, slaw and more. Maybe I expected too much -- I really wanted thick, juicy all-beef dogs with soft buns making you spring for another one to chase down the first. In fairness, there were burgers and other choices posted on the wall besides doggies. I ordered a kraut dog and my wife got the cheese dog. Sides of onion rings and fried okra seemed junior sized, especially at that price. For some reason, three orders came out ahead of mine as I waited at the counter. I don't know why. A couple of hot dogs with sides did not seem very complicated. I guess it's okay for a local eatery, and maybe the fire truck crew and the police standing in line raised my expectations too high. So I guess I can say now that I ate at the Hot Dog King.

Good old fashioned home cooking.
Always love restaurants with liver and onions on the menu, you know it's home cooking. The fried okra was spot on as was the fried squash. Very good.
Everyone enjoyed their meals which included a tuna melt and open faced roast beef sandwiches.
Very good service. Very good food.
