Sunny Cancun has much more to offer than its party-town reputation might suggest. Plenty of gorgeous, drama-free family resorts cater to folks who want to experience the tropical Yucatan climate. There are significant Mayan ruins here, such as El Rey and the Yamil Lu’um, a crumbling tower of pale gray stone. Learn more about this ancient civilization at the Museo Maya de Cancun. For a literal taste of Mexico, take a tour of the Museo Sensorial del Tequila.

After getting a free upgrade I was very happy about the room. I did not expect that they placed us on top of a bar where live music was playing untill 02:00 PM. This was by far the worst night I ever spent in a hotel.

We are a little hotel in downtown Cancun, only two minutes away from the main Bus Station (ADO). Surrounded by restaurants, shops, malls and everything you need to have a wonderful experience in Mexico's number 1 tourist destination.
The hostel is nice and clean I consider there are some reparations to do, for example in the bathroom there is water dripping from the ceiling, the window from the bathroom has no courtins and neighbors from the building in front can easily see you when you need to take a shower or go to the restroom, the service at the reception is bad the guy who received me was in a bad mood and had no service atitude he was eating while taking my credit card and giving me the registration card me was, there is just one light bulb at the bathroom and thats it you remain in complete darkness at night , you can hear all the noise from outside and from the rooms next door making it kind of hard to rest ,the good thing about this place is that is clean, cheap and has a good location. I consider that you really get what you pay. Aside from the bad service at the reception from the guy that has a red shirt everyday I consider this is a good place if you're in a budget but don't expect a good staff service.

6 of my friends and I had plans to go to Cancun maybe 6 months in advance, 2 or 3 months before the actual trip we all decided to book in the hostalito because the reviews were amazing. Turns out that even with 2-3 months in advance, when we arrived to cancun we get an email saying that the hotel is overbooked, we got there anyways because we really needed a place to stay to which they said "we called 2 hostels" because it was 7 of us so they divided us into 2 groups and one group actually got to check in in the hostalito. they gave us the addresses on how to get there walking and when we get them the desk people tell us that nobody called them and they also didn't have rooms. it is a stressful situation that I do not recommend to anyone..

Hostel Cancun Natura enjoys of a privileged location within the most popular sector of Cancun’s hotel zone. It is 5 minutes’ walk from popular CoCo Bongo Club, Hard Rock Cafe Restaurant and Mandala Nightclub. The functional rooms are bright and feature simple decor. The dormitories have shared bathrooms, while the rooms have private ones. Within a short walk, guests will find several shopping malls and restaurants, like Restaurante Le’Natura, or Hooters. La Isla Shopping Village, which offers popular department stores, shops and restaurants, is 5 minutes’ drive away. At Hostel Cancun Natura you will find a 24-hour front desk and a terrace. Other facilities offered include a tour desk and luggage storage. The property offers free parking. Cancun International Airport is 25 minutes’ drive away, while Playa del Carmen is 1 hours’ drive away.
We went through an extremely embarrassing situation. We had paid the nightly rate for the receptionist at the Hostal, but when we were leaving the owner was visibly chemically altered, he accused us of not having paid, he did not want to let us out, he was rude, aggressive and spoke several bad words, we were very afraid, I don't recommend it to anyone.

First of all, I never write negative reviews but due to the large number of 5 stars this place has “somehow” amassed, I felt compelled to say my piece. On first impression it was evident this hotel is in a bad neighborhood. So much so, it was hard finding a taxi willing to take us there from the ferry station. In order to get inside the hotel, you ring a doorbell and the front desk person views the doorway via security monitors and then has a buzzer that unlocks it. This is already a red flag that high security is needed in this neighborhood. By no means should anyone venture out walking here at night as our taxi driver advised us not to because it is dangerous. The lobby has poor ventilation so as soon as you step in you begin to perspire. The elevator is not functional so you have to take a ramp or steps in that humid heat. The bed is insulting. It’s a spring mattress with terrible support on a hard wooden sleigh. That bed would be sure to cause back pain and body aches. The “ocean view” is a major scam. This location is NOWHERE near the ocean as it is in the center of the city. We had a limited view of the city and there were only dirty rooftops as far as the eyes could see. Additionally the balcony was ridden with pigeons and pigeon poop. We immediately decided to cut our losses (didn’t stay either of our 2 nights) and took a ferry to Isla Mujeres that same evening and booked 2 nights there instead via Hotels Tonight. I should mention the manager and front desk person were friendly but no matter how friendly, it simply could not make up for the poor location, terrible mattress, poor air circulation, and lack of amenities. Granted this is a $40 stay. I guess the idiom is true after all. You really do get what you pay for.

Hotel Santa Maria is the best kept secret in downtown Cancun and caters to savvy world travelers who are seeking a taste of the real Cancun - instread of an expensive generic resort. Staying in the city center means you can immerse yourself in the local culture, like a traveler - not a tourist. We are centrally located in downtown Cancun, just 5 minutes from the beach, and within walking distance of the famous Cancun Farmers Market "Mercado 23", and the central ADO bus terminal. Banks, hospitals, restaurants and bars are also nearby. Being downtown means you can live and spend like a local, instead of being a Hotel Zone tourist. We are committed to making your stay in Cancun memorable, and hope you become one of our many perennial guests who visit us year after year. We guarantee a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for you and your family!
The receptionists didnt speak proper English but mostly used Google translate. Not sure whether this was a translational problem or whether they gave us wrong info about the distance to the beach. We were told it would be 10min walk (I even got that info with my Spanish) but it's more like 30min. Take a combi instead which is 5min walk from there. Playa del nino is the name of the beach. Small and serene, although directly at a street. Come here early in the morning and you can experience beautiful sunrises. The room was just so-so. Everything looked a bit run-down. The hotel itself gave a good feeling, it is open and with lots of greenery. Good WiFi. Paid 1000 MXN for one night with doublebed.

We are the most central hostel in Cancun, 600 meters from the bus station and 20 meters from Av. Tulum, Cancuns main street We are door to door to a supermarket and right infront of the IMSS, Cancuns public hospital
I ended up at this Hotel by default The airplane had mechanical problems so all passengers were shuttled here courtesy of the airline and given dinner vouchers. Upon arrival..my first instinct told me not to expect much and i was right. The food was bland and the Hotel rooms even though clean were somewhat on the dark side.. My room had no window and was a bit small for the hotel furniture and myself. The positives of the hotel was its location, which was in walking distance of Supermarkets, Restaurants,Bars, Banks, Cadecas etc. Was glad i was only there one night.. Not my cup of tea but it was not the worst.
