Restaurant with typical Italian homemade food, pizza with slow yeast, two days of natural yeast, the restaurant is hidden in the old town of Tazacorte ... in view of the sea
Had several dinners at La Locanda the pizzas and pasta are delicious and very reasonable. Would have gone on our last night in Tazacorte but the restaurant was closed because of a televised concert just below the restaurant and the TV station needed to block off the restaurant.

Brilliant no frills place with great service and delicious pizzas.Situated on the promenade of the little town of Tazacorte with great views over the banana plantations below, the ocean and the impressive cliff of El Time, this restaurant is a popular haunt with tourists and locals alike. There is a large range of one size pizzas cooked fresh to order in the kitchen over the road and I have to say the two we had were both delicious. You can order extra ingredients for an extra euro per ingredient. Beer, wine and soft drinks are on offer and wine by the carafe is possible which is always good if only one of you is drinking or if one of you say likes red and the other white. The welcome was warm and the service very good. The promenade is popular with the locals and on a balmy Friday night it was great to see all the families out with their children and beginning to relax for the weekend. If you have room, the panna cotta is also to be recommended. There are usually a couple of specials of the day but essentially if great pizza and friendly service is what you are after this is your place. All with a great view and possibly a chance to watch Canarians enjoying life at first hand. Excellent value and highly recommended.
What to do and see in El Paso, Spain: The Best Places and Tips
I have come three times in total and the food is good quality. It reminds of Italia a little bit. Shabby decoration with cheap furniture and no pretentiousness. But the pizza is fantastic. The owner speaks only Italian. You better understand Italian if you want to come to this place. He will understand everything you say, but you will be replied in perfect Italian, haha! This place is a must.

Maybe we just picked the wrong places before but boy were we glad to find this place where the waitress speaks english, german and even a little bit of dutch. And luckily the food was also excellent. Pizza's and pasta's, that's about all the menu has to offer. But the pizza's and pasta's are delicious indeed. You can also see straight into the kitchen where they are cooking, which I always find very charming. Great place for some pizza or pasta! Definitely worth coming back to!

We tried this restaurant because there are so few restaurants open on Sunday evenings. Slightly lacking in atmosphere but being close to the main road and constantly busy with locals calling in for takeaway pizzas, it was good for people watching. We had garlic bread and garlic gambas for starters - both very good. I had the seafood spaghetti and my wife had the Serrano ham pizza for our mains. The spaghetti dish was better than average with a good assortment of seafood, however it lacked that sparkle to be excellent due to a lack of herbs & seasoning. The pizza was thin crust and perfectly cooked with adequate topping. All food was served nice and hot, portion sizes were about right and pricing was fair. The waiter was very helpful and friendly despite being very busy. This restaurant is worth a try.

We arrived at 1840 on a Sunday. The board showed that the restaurant was open until 2100 on a Sunday but the waitress informed us that they were just closing.Very disappointed that we couldn't dine here as the reviews sounded great. Suggest that the opening hours are updated to actuals given that it's a short haul out of El Paso centre.BTW - el Americano is open on a Sunday night and has free wifihello .... thanks for 3 points... sunday night my little children (1 1/2 year was ailing)

Nice place has offered traditional brick-oven pizza, salads, pasta and gnocchis with various sauces and homemade desserts for 10 years.
Not much to say about the inside of the restaurant, it is quite plain. But the pizzas are a real treat! Go to Evangelina if you have a craving for great and tasty pizzas!
