Things to do in San Sebastian de la Gomera
Recently the restaurant at the Club Nautico of San Sebastian de La Gomera changed tenant for my greatest surprise but, I must admit, my greatest pleasure and these of my wife and kids!I knew the place as offering shade under the tries, fresh sea air in the warm summer day which all of us 4 need as break. This year I discovered also delicious cuisine! Finally a restaurant cooking something else, something different than the tuna, chocos, chuletas, etc. Speciallities I very much enjoy, but must say that all menus in almost all restaurants present the same. A break in all that fried potatoes, fried fish, fried everything menus!Everything is freshly and handmade and you can tell! There I could enjoy some Afro/Carribean cuisine making shrimps coexist with fruit, rice and tasty spicies in a delicate and harmonious way! What a delicious and refreshing break it was at a very good ratio between price and quality! Value For Money!Alberto and his daughter welcomes you in a family athmosphere (so way different than the bunch of touristical restaurants with waiters almost not knowing each other), speaking Spanish, English, French and even Dutch!A must try!
An exicting location in a cave by the nautic Club. Excellent service and sophistcated food. When the weather is favorable, you can sit in a lovely garden, and the bar and service is as fine as if you were a dining guest. The wine is very good and the menu (and food) is mouth watering. You have not been to San Sebastian de la Gomera without trying this fine restaurant.
excellent service, wide selection of wine and diversity of sea food - it is a quiet place and not touristic, as people prefer to sit outside watching the road and strolling people (mainly tourists). Great food. The owner Don Ramon attended us well - first a cold glass of beer - it had been very hot and sunny in the field - then excellent wine from Spain. Tuna or fish or meat - very, very tasty. The local drink Gomerón a must to drink - distilled grape brandy with palm syrup. It is not fast food, so take your time, especially if you want to chat and eventually dialogue about a future project, as we did.
Very much recommended. We visited in a part of 11 and they opened early at 18:30 for us local gringos. Good choice of fish and meat dishes from this Andalusian chef. So pleased to now have a good restaurant in these rural parts.

Something very different for Gomera and all the better for it. Freshly made salads, galettes, burgers and crepes all with french flair but local ingredients - except the french flour and sugar! Oh, and some french wine. Plenty of vegetarian choice too. We had delicious galettes and simple but gorgeous sugar crepes. Roger is great fun and a thoughtful host. A wonderful addition to the restaurants in San Sebastián. Thank you two for this lovely comment. From next month you will discover new proposals of dishes mixing French cuisine on the island of La Gomera. See you soon, Roger and Chocolate

Really delicious and tasty food. The starter was not warm enough and took 35 min to be served. The main course took 1h 15min from placing the order to being on the table. The serving was very small, we left feeling hungry. Cozy ambience but a bit chilly (only outdoor seating). They provide blankets but some sort of heating would be nice.Recommend booking table in advance.
