Bar Cafeteria Vitamin

This was our first visit to Playa San Juan and as we walked along the coastal road we passed several restaurants which were open for lunch and as we neared the Fish market / port buildings we could clearly see that Bar Cafeteria Vitamin , by far had the most clientele enjoying lunch. As I am celiac which means no food containing wheat I was initially disappointed when the waitress said they had no dishes that would suit me. So as I watched my wife tuck in, I had a look at the menu and saw that they did a dish containing chicken breast. So off I went and spoke to the chef and with assistance of the waitress explained that I could eat a cooked chicken breast with no sauce but sprinkled lightly with pepper and garlic. I was then presented with four slices of freshly cooked chicken breast seasoned accordingly accompanied by a fresh salad which was a full plate. We had four spirit drinks and shared two mixers and added to my wife's single course found we had enjoyed a beautiful lunch that was easily half the price we would have paid in the resorts of Los Gigantes, Puerto Santiago and Playa De La Arena. So well worth the visit.

This was our first visit to this restaurant, & we thought we would try it for a snack. The staff were helpful & friendly, but the food was only average. We had an English breakfast, but was not up to the standard of other places we have been to. It may have been better with another choice of dish.

I had already pre booked the above via Facebook. We were made to feel very welcome by Lindsey and Jim. We were given an introduction to various gins and tonics and Jim added to the experience by giving us information about each gin and tonic. The canapes were amazing. I would definetly recommend a visit to the tea house. Thanks for your review of our Gin Tasting, so pleased you enjoyed it.We put a lot of effort into these fortnightly events and appreciate it so much when we read good reviews. Hope to see you again in the future. Kind regardsJim and Lindsay
