Second time renting a villa in this area. Bar El Populacho is the closest holiday type bar to be found without driving to Maspalomas. Only closed on Fridays this is the only place to sit, have a couple of drinks and watch the world go by. Cocktails are really good and tapas was excellent. If your on holiday in the area you have to visit here.

Nella via principale del simpatico paesello di Vecindario, dove circolavano molte persone del luogo e pochi turisti, ci siam rifocillati a metà pomeriggio in questo simpaticissimo baretto con specialità venezuelaneâ¦abbiam preso una birretta ⬠1,50 (un âbotellinâ della locale birra Tropicalâ¦) e un succo di frutti tropicali spremuto fresco e in abbondanza in una brocca di vetro della Bormioliâ¦strepitoso e a soli ⬠3!! Poi una âempanadaâ ossia una specie di calzone fatto benissimo ⬠3 e un âarapasâ ossia un panino tipo kebab ma con dentro pollo maionese e cipolla ⬠3â¦una vera slurperiaâ¦personale gentilissimoâ¦per tutta questa bontà spesi ⬠10,50â¦simpaticissime le insegne sui bagni (donne=bla,bla,bla,bla,etcâ¦/uomini=bla!)⦠un posticino che ricorderemo senzâaltro da non perdere!!!

Very nice tapas and have been lunching here several times - always very good! Just about every time, we've been the only tourists amongst locals here, which is always a good sign...The mojo potatoes, aioli and gambas ajillo (garlic shrimps) are all superb!Most of the times, service have been excellent too.I can highly recommend this tapas place!

Spent an afternoon at the taproom enjoying their beers. Many of the beers are brewed with local ingredients and they are passionate about the island. They do some limited food, cheese and meat platters plus some canned offerings, but you can bring in the best croquettes from nearby. In short great people, lovely beer and worth a visit.

Waiter was very friendly and the bread with allioli, the vegetables from the oven (++) and the rabbit was good but when we had to pay, the waiter asked 3 euro for the bread (we didn't asked for that) and he asked 12,5 euro!!! for the vegetables (he just asked before if we would like vegetables with the rabbit?)If you want some tricks for cheating you have to go the professional waiter cheater of el refugio!
