The sun-drenched Canary Islands lie close to North Africa and have an exotic flavor of their own. Hundreds of volcanoes, rolling sand dunes, rich forests and rugged cliffs dapple these seven Atlantic gems. Catch a ferry to Lanzarote. Ride a camel through volcanic Timanfaya National Park. Take on Tenerife, home of Mount Teide, Spain's tallest peak. Romp Grand Canary's beaches or hike La Gomera's Garajonay National Park. More adventures await on tiny El Hierro, verdant La Palma and peaceful Fuerteventura.

I was astounded at how easy it was to get to this fantastic pension, beginning with a great flight aboard Air Europa. Once de boarded at the Aeropuerto de Gran Canaria and quickly/easily retrieving my luggage (backpack & walking stick), I just followed the signs to the public bus stand. #91 was a mere €6,80 for the 1.5 hour journey South, and dropped me a few paces away from this great place! Having pre-booked (seems essential nowadays with cellphones), I was led to the uppermost floor (2), assigned the twin-single bedded room 12, and was given a pair of keys on a single ring (one key for the room, the other for entry/access from the outside—excellent security!) it was such a relief to unburden myself of my backpack and just lay down for a spell! There is a small refrigerator, with room numbers on each tray (courtesy of Swedish Suzanne), an excellent organizational method. I certainly filled my tray after visiting the closeby SuperDino food store. This large room also had a kitchen, stove, microwave, utensils available for our use. Two well-supplied WC are attached. This is a less-expensive overnightery which I highly recommend, and certainly has my enthusiastic “Wheel of Approval!

We arrived on New Year's Eve and followed the instructions for self check in. Everything worked perfectly. It was very convenient. It's probably the cheapest accomodation in Los Christianos. We got a double room with private bath room and balcony. The room was small but bright and super clean. Excellent location and friendly staff. Only downside were the other tenants of the pension who are VERY drunk, loud and rude. I think it's perfect for couples or friends staying one night but I would not go there as a female solo traveller because of the other tenants. Be sure to get a room with private bathroom.

I have been living in Las Palmas for two months and this is the worst accommodation I have had so far. No one to greet me at the reception, noise of people snoring/going to the toilet all night, smell of cigarettes at 8am... I don't recommend it even if it's not expensive!!!

Finding an ideal budget friendly pension (b&b) in Arrecife does not have to be difficult. Welcome to Pension Cardona, a nice option for travelers like you. While you’re here, be sure to check out some of the steakhouses, including Barbacana Bar & Grill, Asadero Titerroy, and Asador El Cochino 33, all of which are a short distance from Pension Cardona. There is no shortage of things to do in the area: explore popular history museums such as La Casa Amarilla. Pension Cardona puts the best of Arrecife at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
To say that Pension Cardona is a disgrace would be a compliment. I have stayed in hotels and Hostal’s all over the World and this is without a doubt the worse place I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. The place is filthy, there are no cleaning services, it’s advertised Wi-Fi which doesn’t work. The “Kitchen” consists of a kettle and microwave that doesn’t work and cockroaches. Our room stank of smoke even though it’s a “non smoking hotel” The staff are unbelievably rude, some claim they don’t speak English however these same staff had no problem speaking fluent English to American Guests....... Strange! Trust me if you are going to stay in Arrecife, Lanzarote then this is Place you do not want to go near........ ever!

This is a very basic place but I got what I needed- a clean bed and my private space. Not recommended if you want to spend any time in but if you want to explore, go to beaches, do some sports- I would recommend this place.

We are in Vilaflor center, near of the principal touristic destinations on the island, only 20 minutos from Cañadas del Teide. You can rest here and enjoy our eat specialities on Canarian Tipical food like "Puchero Canario" and "Conejo en Salmorejo".
I hadn't reserved - just walked in off the street. I had a lovely light modern room (with en suite) at the top of the building (I don't have a problem with stairs). I stayed several days, catching the bus at the end of the road to walk in El Teide national park. I ate there most evenings, working my way through the Mallorcan specialities on the menu; the portions were generally a bit too large for me, despite my day's walking. The owners were kind, helpful and unobtrusive. The price was excellent; this was the only single room I found during my holiday; elsewhere I had to pay slightly more, as I was occupying rooms which could have accommodated two.
