Classic dishes with a South African twist. In an industrial 1920's "members-only club" inspired space where everyone is welcome
This restaurant has an amazing vibe, and smaller plates (almost like tapas in terms of portion size), and is generally a fun place. The owners were flexible in accommodating us despite no reservation and we thoroughly enjoyed the experienceWould recommend everyone go here

Great vibe on a cold, stormy night. We shared many different dishes which was great fun. Everything was very tasty and fresh and the service was efficient. Only downside was that most dishes come in portions of three which is nonsensical as most diners were in multiples of two. Although we asked whether they could serve four portions per dish and charge us extra, they refused. I also felt the dessert portion was very, very tiny. That being said, it comes highly recommebded and I would go again.

Sundoo is the brainchild of renowned restaurateur and chef, Seelan Sundoo. Seelanâs roots are deeply founded in Kerala, India â better known as âThe Land of Spicesâ. This area is well-known as one of the ancient centers of the spice trade with Egypt; the
A lovely little restaurant with enormous potential. The curries are, unfortunately, so oily that one cannot taste the subtle and complex flavours that should be evident in my favourite type of food. I attach a photo - the oil on the plate I spooned out of the bowl of food and as you can see I had some way to go. Very disappointing.

Ramen is my favorite food (so I eat a lot of it), and my all time favorite is a duck ramen in my hometown. At Three Wise Monkeys, they were out of the duck ramen, so I got the beef brisket, and I was so glad I did! It was probably the second best ramen I've ever had (I am stubbornly loyal to my hometown duck ramen!) the broth especially had a wonderful flavor, as did the brisket. I definitely recommend this for some speedy yet delicious ramen. It is also not too touristy, and I think the other guests were locals, so it was really nice to get off the beaten path.

A no frills but invariably excellent family owned Indian restaurant. Friendly long standing experienced waiters. Not snob or trendy place thank heaven just always a good and thoroughly satisfying meal. Chicken/ meat meltingly tender in a rich sauce, good Paratha's / Roti's. In forty plus years this place has been the benchmark.

food and ambiance was lovely, however what made our night was Thulani. He is bright, witty and could not do more to accommodate a food allergy which meant we are able to enjoy the szechuan crusted fish with Sea Bass instead of Kinkilp. Thank you so much for a lovely evening!

Experience the spice of life
We coose the with meat tasting menu, which was very good. But for a fine dining restaurant we oddly found the service a bit sloppy. When we arrived several waiters came to greet us but could only say the hostess will arrive. Which left us standing at the door for 5 mins before she finally appeared. Our waiter was pleasant and friendly but the style was not suited to this style of restauarant - I couldn't work out if he was a bit sloppy or was new on the job. I suspect the latter. We had a great wine and a lovely meal & would go again.
