After reading about the last two reviews that had many negative points, we still decided to visit and had an excellent evening. I sat next to the winery entrance and even so it was not cold (as read in other reviews), later they put a gas heater close by without any prompting. The service was excellent (Wayne), the food (Tapas) was very good especially the oxtail Gnocchi and the ambience suited us as a couple for the evening to celebrate a special occasion. We started with a glass each of bubbly to celebrate the occasion and then the waiter brought us a sample of each of the house white wines (Dorrance) and we selected the Chardonnay and the Viognier. As it turned out the sampler of the Chenin Blanc and the Chardonnay were swapped and the Chardonnay glass that we ordered was replaced and the glass of Chenin Blanc was left at our table at no cost. Being a wooded Chardonny fan I found their Chardonnay very good. After sharing 6 tapas plates we decided to end a superb evening without taking up their deserts or coffee offering.

Due to the intolerable building works we unfortunately had no choice but to close our Bar & Restaurant in Park Road. We will SOON relocate to our NEW HOME in 103 Kloof Street, corner 101 Weltenvrede Avenue (next to Checkers) The renovation and building wo
Absolutely love Rick's Café.Apart of à great atmosphere et beautiful decor resembling the original movie, the food is just delightful. A large but not too large menu to suit all palets and love their well priced daily lunch specials menu.If you are a beer fan, this is just the place to come try some of their many imported beers.

We were walking around after going to the District Six Museum........Bo Kaap......Greenmarket Square,etc.....so we stopped in for cappuccino. We were given a tiny complimentary bite of something....and we ordered a stuffed cannoli to share. We were not impressed with the cannoli filling. The BEST part of our visit was conversing with the guy next to us, who it turns out started the vineyard from scratch: ELGIN RIDGE. The gal in charge even gave us a tasting of his sauvignon bllanc. It was delish.

At Ocean Basket Camps Bay you'll find friendly people, a home-from-home feeling and great value for your hard-earned bucks.
Located along trendy Victoria Road with views over Camps Bay Beach (fantastic sunset views), Ocean Basket serves up fresh seafood from 11.00 to 22.00 (half an hour longer at weekends). You can choose from soups to salads, mediterranean-style dishes and platters as well as desserts, and sit inside (up or down) or outside on the sliver of pavement. The decor is slightly impersonal and cold, so we opted to sit outside and watch the world go by.We ordered 12 oysters, a prawn and mussel combo and two carafes of wine (chardonnay and sauvignon blanc). Three dips were brought out along with four small rolls while we waited. While friendly, the service was a bit hit and miss. The food arrived with no accompanying cutlery and we had to ask twice for it and both dishes came out together so that by the time weâd got our knives and forks, and eaten the oysters, the hot dish was cold. The oysters were however superb, not big, but meaty with a salty start and sweet finish and while the prawns were stunning and perfectly cooked, the mussels were overcooked and bland. The sauces were slightly stodgy (but this seems to be the case in most eateries), as were the accompanying chips, but both wines were very good and at R500 we couldnât complain.Hello Wucie,Thank you for taking the time to review Ocean Basket Camps Bay. We are so happy to read that you enjoyed our food and that certain items were able to impress you. We take pride in our seafood and will use this feedback to improve on the product delivered. "Sea" you soon. Thanks, Ocean Basket

Soak up the atmosphere of our timeless dining room while savouring much-loved classics and impeccable service. The elegant, wood-panelled space dates from the hotelâs inauguration in 1899. It was here that, in 1994, President Nelson Mandela welcomed the w
We dined here this week, and had a most enjoyable meal.Lovely historic room, well spaced tables. We shared the signature beef Wellington, and it was still too large for 2. But it was excellent.Wine list is well sized and with good selection.Good service.Overall a good experience.Dear Northern Wanderer, thank you for the beautiful review, we are truly delighted that you had such an enjoyable time with us. also operates during the day as La Bunixa tapas bar.
My wife, our son and I all ordered their sirloin steak. Perfect in every way. Next time I will definitely opt for one of the other fine sounding dishes on the menu. Well-trained and attentive staff

Italian flavor and style laced in Camps Bay Cool, resplendent with a splash of Kove Collection abundance. This is Zenzero. Zenzero wraps you shamelessly in 'La Dolce Vita' whilst gently caressing with a cool Atlantic breeze. Italian cuisine is all about f
There are a number of restaurants in this complex, all very similar in style and service. Looks like they are all linked somehow. None the less this food had an Italian bias and could not be faulted. Service was impecable

Over the past decade Goloso has grown into a unique eatery that combines fresh home-made Italian inspired cuisine with a humble but welcoming, relaxing setting and excellent value. Owner run and managed, we take pride in offering great food and personaliz
This understated local pizza place serve the best pizza in Cape Town. I wouldn't say its a first date spot, but whenever I'm in CPT I always make a stop here. Definitely a spot to have lunch with friends. (not sure if they still run it, but their lunch time deal cant be beaten for price and quality) The service is always good and the manager (Karl) is a really friendly and helpful guy. Dear guestThank you so much for this amazing review and especially for your continued support. We appreciate our regular customers very much. Thank you too for the kind comments about our staff, we do it with pleasure. We are happy to report that our unbeatable lunch special is indeed still on :) We look forward to seeing you again. All the bestThe Goloso Team

Charming staff, really service minded. Kingklip fish was good but a little boring in taste needed a bit more flavour. Blue cheese salad needed a higher grade of blue cheese.

This restaurant was highly recommended to us by one of our group during a recent stay in Cape Town (âdonât leave Cape Town without going hereâ). So, as as part of our Hop on - Hop off Bus Mini-Peninsula Tour (Blue Route), we planned to visit for lunch. We were a bit late arriving, having stopped off at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Hout Bay and we were definitely overheating as it was a punishingly hot day. We were given a very friendly welcome and made to feel right at home before being guided through the food selection process. We each chose three different types of fish, which were served with fresh breads and tasty dips, a selection of vegetables and rice. It was all absolutely wonderful and a real treat. Consequently, in turn, we have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to you - âdonât leave Cape Town without going hereâ...
